Calling all Bubble Bobble Experts! HELP!

Me and my girlfriend have been playing through Bubble bobble (with savestates *ahem*) as im dying to see the ending.

We goto level 99 yet and we jsut cant figure out what we have to do
here is a screenshot:

please can someone help as i need to see the ending to my most favourite childhood game!

There will be a key appearing on the left side of the screen where player 1 must touch.

There will be a door appearing somewhere on the right hand side near player 2!

You need to touch both at the same time I believe to get the good ending!

Look at last month's or the month's before issue of RETRO GAMAER that has cool article on BB. There seem to be 3 endings: THE BEST ending( you do something in earlier levell.) The one playing ending. And 2 player ending.

Yeah i read that, but im looking for a solution to level 99! not what is the endin like

I haven't played Bubble Bobble for more than a few minutes in years, but if I remember correctly, Grandam's suggestion is what my friend and I always did to beat that level. Now you make me want to bust out my copy of Bubble Bobble and start playing again...

i havent seen any key at all on the left side O_O

i can kill all enemies too except the one wedged into the middle @_@

just kill the guys, then you go to level 100 and beat the boss


OTHERWISE, what everyone else is talking about is that there will be a crystal ball that will show up for a few seconds on the right side by player 2 when the board starts.

player 2 has to grad the crystal ball and NOT DIE until you clear out all the baddies.

then a doorway will open on the right side and you jump through it....if memory serves correctly.

..it took my Aunt and I abot 3 hours to get it when we played many years ago.

Is that the arcade version? If it is, I think I have the answer- you need to take out that pesky guy in the middle with fire.

Have Bub go up to the top of the level on his side where the fire bubbles appear. When you get up there, try to push the fire bubbles to the right until they go up and off the top of the screen. The goal is to pop the bubbles that go off the screen when
A) they are over the enemy in the center and B) the fire will fall straight down through the wall and hit the enemy.

Timing it right is not the easiest thing to do, and I think you'll need to "ride" the bubbles off the screen to hit them at the right time.

Cheers, ill give it a go, it is the Arcade version too...
I was trying to ride the bubbles but it wasnt letting me through a small gap...

That last enemy is a pesky thing!
