I awakened to someone ringing my doorbell. It ended up being

Yay, lucky number 13 :eek 2: . I plugged it in and waited with baited breath and I was overjoyed that it loaded up a playstation game. I was afraid it wasn't going to work, as it wasn't tested. Anyways, has anyone else recieved their systems yet? I know at least 5 other people bought debug stations on this board.

i was going to post about this too!
i got my three yesterday and they all work..
one loads to the memory card screen first, though, then to the ps logo then loads the game...also makes growling noises. i guess the laser is going bad?
i got a good smattering of systems, none quite the same as the others. one(which i thought was pretty cool) has the developers name written on it. i cant wait to sit and play one when anyone who doesnt know of such things comes over....
"they made a blue playstation?"
Promophile: yours doesnt have a 'property of acclaim' metal sticker on it? not on the back or anywhere?

Mine has a "property of Iguana entertainment" sticker on the bottom. I did some research and Iguana entertainment is another name that acclaims development team went by.

any reason why Green Debug is more expensive than Blue one?
Believe Green one is based on later revison of PS design or something - is it true?
or is there something different about Green over Blue?
also how does it work?
Just stick in any region disc and it will boot?
Or do you need some kind of dongle ? :D
cheers

I'm buying a green dev later today - no reason it's more expensive except that they've tended to be a bit scarcer than the blue.

hmm...
looking at the rough price difference Green Debug is about double the Blue one...
also does Blue Debug has S-video port?
I believe Green Debug doesn't?
And what's scarcity of launch SCPH-1000 model than?
haven't seen it for a while...
cheers

I recieved mine about a week ago, and it was just sent back today. A different one should be here by mid next week.

Early first run Japanese PS debugs (blue) have S vid. No american debugs do. Greens are the much much rarer debug, showing up for purchase very infrequently on the eBay.

I believe blue debug is based on SCPH-1000 series hence the S-Video whereas green debug is based on later revision - SCPH-2000 perhaps since my 3500 already missing those extra ports at the back... - hence the lack of S-video.
