Stores with a conscious (or stores that refuse to stock stinkers) may not stock it but you can find it at Amazon.com or Ebay...and probably several other online sources as well.

The guy Game for PS2 and Xbox..

There was this freak accident where some 17 year old gets Naked in it and as we all know thats a big NO NO!!!

No one knew she was under age when the game was being filmed or so I hear

Really there was a nude 17 year old in it? That alone might make it rare, because isn't underage nudity illegal to possess and sell?

I mean I heard the game sucks harder than one of those girls duing spring break (sorry, tasteless joke :) ), but if it's gonna be rare I'll pay the $28 for it.

Gamestop was told to pull the Guy Game off the shelves, and to expect a recall on this game next month. This will include all new & used copies.

SoulBlazer

So, will this become rare? Should we pick up a copy?

And did the PC version ship?

i must have been a accident because why would a Company bring it out when they know they will get into trouble with it.

This raises an interesting question though; if a bunch of people buy the game expecting it to be rare because it's banned due to illegal nudity, how would anyone sell it. I suppose you could sell it on websites like this one, and at trade meets and such, but you'd have to be carefull because doing so would be against the law.

And it would imagine that selling or trading it even on a forum site, if the wrong people found out, would get the site in trouble.

I've contacted your ISPs re: your conspiracy to posess and distribute kiddie porn. You're going to go to jail! LOL

Actually, right now it only allegedly has a 17 yr old in it. And what is she doing going around drinking & flashing at spring break!!!! Who would expect that sort of thing to go on!??! Her parents must be so proud. If only she would have made the cover next to the constipated guy.

Mecha-Godzilla

I don't understand.

So the girl flashes the camera, then sues them? Was it a set-up? Did her parents do it?

In one year or two years no-one will care anymore; and if it is pulled off the shelves, this version might be indeed 'rare' one day. The louzy game will be sold as an 'exceptional' game because of this ridiculuous incident and a money-grabbing lawsuit.

Have any of you knocking it, ever played the game?

I'm not saying its a great game, but were all gamers here, shouldn't you try it and make your own choices and not repeat what review articles say about the game?

....runs away and plays Michael Jackson's Moonwalker .....OWWW

I played it. It was a crap version of the drinking game "asshole" with some skanky looking girls flashing their tits.

Not exciting either as a game or as spank material.

The girls lawsuit will go no where, nudist magazines have been going through the same thing for decades, even the Girls GOne Wild guys went through it a few years back and nothing came of it. The girl signed a release, showed a fake ID, and did it of her own will. On top of that, if you flash your tits in public you loose all rights to privacy, and depending on where you do it, may be breaking the law yourself. There's no clause in the law that says companies have to protect stupid people.

The 17 year old thing will get washed out too. It's not illegal to show naked under 18 people, it's illegal to show it as erotic but not just to show it. As far as I know the game doesn't present itself as being erotic, just drunkenly silly. Kinda like the famous vietnam picture of the naked 12 year old running down the street, sure she's naked, but it's not erotic so it's legal. It's a fine line, but with pay cable still showing Pretty Baby (a film about a preteen prostitute starring a naked underage Brooke Sheilds) I think the Guy Game publishers are safe. I wouldn't be surprised though if it were pulled from major chains, because while Little Johnny can make Solid Snake kill 200 guys will teach him to be a better man, one boobie will twist him for life.

Yada Yada Yada Yada....Same thing I said in the other thread about Genitalia and Sexual innuendo/situations being the groundwork for child pornography in the United States. As if two idiots would be more convincing than one...I repeat you.

Well, I can agree with this. Anakin Skywalker was going to be a bad-ass Jedi Knight until he hit puberty and wanted the Princess' nipples. She screws him over, he becomes Darth Vader....Don't 'cross over to the Boobie Side of the Force!

What an interesting story indeed! It kind of reminds me of the "Kakuto Chojin" incident on the Xbox where they had to pull the game off the shelf and re-release it. I have to try and pick up an earlier un-edited verison of the "Guy Game." Take Care everyone :D

Actually, a few years ago Calvin Klein had to pull an entire ad campaign when allegations of child pornography arose regarding the young models they were using.

I actually don't think the game is that bad. Now it's not a game you're going to play for hours by yourself, no absolutly not, it would be terrible then. But if you have some friends over it's entertainment for a good 20-30 minutes.

There is even a tv show just like this game where they go out and ask people questions (they don't flash if they're wrong) and then two people back at the studio have to guess if they got it right or wrong. The shows been on for a few years so someone must be watching it. So an interactive version with naked women - they probably figured it's a sure thing.

Plus the x-box is lacking adult titles and with companies realizing young males are a HUGE portion of their market. And I'm sure they're thinking if we have nude women in our games, then gameplay isn't really an issue with this target market.

As for it being banned, I think a great example of this would be Traci Lord's (anyone who doesn't know she was a porn star making dozens of porns before her 18th b-day) appearance as a penthouse centerfold back in ~1986ish. She was only 16 at the time and the issue has been banned due to child pornography. Although I don't know if an issue of this magazine (almost 20 years later) sells for significantly more than other issues of that era.

Hm yes the little girl running in vietnam took off her clothes because they were burning with napalm. A far different situation than wih the girl involved in the guy game. Kim Phuc now:

I own it(thats right i'll admit it).
The game sucks 1 player, 2 or more it is pretty cool.
The only reason I own it is my girlfriend wanted to check it out, I had no interest in the game.

Cheese

Perhaps Kim Phuc was not the best example, but it does prove my point that underage nudity isn't illegal as long and it isn't erotic, like the Traci Lords Penthouse mentioned above. The Calin Klein thing was a little different, they pulled the campaign due to the controversy, not the law. Major corporations tend not to like controversy about that kinda stuff, at least not here in the States.
