I found a boxed nes system at a consignment store today.
I paid a grand total of 16.80 taxed in WI.
i have pictures of it at http://photobucket.com/albums/v344/krazy_kamino/boxednes/
Please help me appraise it. The #vbender crowd has thus far given me a broad range, bottoming out at "30+" according to balloon fight, and a "Max" of 50 according to CMOSFM.
any additional help is appreciated.

In order to attempt to be 56k friendly i will only image-tag 3 of the shots here.

Well you've pretty much already got your answer.

They go for between $35-$50 on Ebay , boxed with a few games.

alright, so i'm thinking i'm gonna start this one off at $34.99 on ebay, throw in an smb.......to match the packing(i just got that damn smb too) and put a bin at 44.99 .....
I usually don't ask for help with pricing from you dudes, but i don't know boxed stuff.

I, personally, wouldn't pay a penny over $25 for that as the box and styro have some damage and I'm just guessing as to what the surface of the NES itself looks like. Months ago I bought a perfect condition NES - the exact same box variation as yours, there should be some game screenshots on the side and the only non-Nintendo one is Rad Racer from Square. Mine came with a perfect box, even the styro pieces being fully intact, a lot of extra stuff crammed inside, and a NES game still in the slot, all for $40 at Goodwill; it seemed I paid a bit too much at the time (though I sure don't regret it).

At the time, the comments I got here indicated that I'd perhaps paid a bit much for the system. In no way am I trying to knock your find; you definitely made out well with it as a purchase, and it's likely you'll find a buyer (especially if you bundle it with a cheap, popular cartridge or two).

I just sold two nicer boxed Control Decks with some common games for $100 each. That was before Christmas though.
