I asked this question awhile back, and I tried to search for it, but I couldn't find it. So here goes again.

I've never played any of the "dancing" games, but I think that my little kids would get a real kick out of trying to play these games with the control pad that you step on.

So which one should I get? I have a XBOX, PS2 and Cube.

Also, in terms of the controller, I've seen some cheap ones out there for like $19.99 and I've seen some really expensive ones for like $99.99.

Are any of the cheap ones any good? Could I get some foam at Home Depot and add it to the cheapo one to make it better? The $99.99 one that I seen was two of them that had a special foam padding on the bottom. I would think that it would be easy to just get some foam and add it to a cheapo one for the same effect.

Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated.

I'm thinking I need to get one of these dancing games and the controller, and I think my kids will really like it.

If it's for your kids, maybe you're better off with the cheap pads anyway. Or you can go in-between and go for a cheap padded pad (they go for about $30 US -- I think it was made by Intec). Just make sure your kids remove their shoes before playing.

I suggest you find a copy of DDR Disney Mix for PS1 (it usually sells for a relatively high price, but I'm sure you could find it at a more reasonable price with some search and luck). The regular DDR games for the Playstation are also fine (maybe go for DDRMAX 1 or 2, as they include some licensed songs (compared to DDR and DDR Konamix for the PS1). I'd go for the PS1/PS2 version of DDR games simply because there are more titles in the series you can get, compared to the Xbox.

Yeah, DDR games for the playstations. I'd suggest checking out www.DDRfreak.com for info about how to home-mod your pad.
