xbox dvd remote power off?

so if i buy a xbox dvd remote, will i be able to turn the system off from it? thats the only thing i really want it for is so i can watch a movie while im going to sleep, i was really excited when i saw that the ps2 remote had one, but after i got home found out i didnt have a new enough ps2 so i returned it, but i did notice the display button on the xbox remote, and i have a brand new xbox.

damn it! i was really hopeful about that one, oh well looks like im gonna go find a really cheap dvd player : \ you'd think they'd think of putting something simple like that in it would make it a much better product for the moeny a person is spending on it

If the system is modded, the remote can turn it off.
