If you have the Anthology, do you still plan to pick up the original cartridges that you didn't already have?

I probably will but it I probably won't do so as quickly as I might have. I have alays loved Activision games so theres no substitute for the real deal. However I do love this PS2 anthology!

Would've made a good poll! I vote yea.

It's no different to me than having them on a PC emulator. I'll always want and purchase the originals. But I definitely play AA *way* more than any PC emulator.

I had most of them already, but never played them. Now I'm playijng constantly. I DID eventually have to switch off the music. I couldn't take one more listen to "Safety Dance"

NOTE: I agree with Jason, this would make a great poll.

So I made it into a poll for ya, Stonecutter. You can thank me later. :P

You guys are right, this was a good idea for a poll, thanks for picking up on the shortcoming there.

You should now note, if ever I post something that might classify me as a dumbass, I will claim you changed my post Joe...lol just joking. :D

The moral of this post boys and girls, a life lesson to remember, and used as felt appropriate is as follows.

"Plausible deniability is a great thing!" Very important it is plausible though, or you WILL look like a dumbass as I said lol.

I would think that 90% of the people who post at Digitpress would have the majority of those carts already anyway. :P

But yeah, to answer the question. Sure, why not get the original? If you're buying Atari carts this late in the game (what.. 20 years later?), they're all dirt cheap anyway! :-D

I'll get the real carts so I have them in my collection (mainly since not sur eif my Atari even works still). But really nice to play AA with the extras like the music and try to get the patches and bonuses.

And thus I was thinking in terms of "Thwocker" and "Kabobber", which I don't have cartridges of. And neither do you.

I don't own a PS2 so I can't try out the anthology, but in my experience, emulation is never the same as on the original system. Especially with Atari 2600 emulation -- either something just feels different, or the sounds aren't quite perfect.

And, games such as Kaboom! suck without a paddle.

So YES, I'd own both.

Very True. Precisely why I said "majority" rather than "all" ;) But if you (or anyone else) find those particular ones and are offering them for free I will gladly pay you Tuesday :D Either way my vote is cast. 8-) Yeah I'd snag them if I could
