Check this out. I found out about this guy that does special mods for XBOX's. I'm not talking about mod chips and hard drives and stuff like that. He does that too, but I'm actually talking about custom paint jobs, and special led lights and all kinds of stuff like that.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!


He basically can take an ordinary XBOX and totally trick it out. It's like "Pimp my Ride" on MTV, except it's "Pimp your XBOX".

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!


So anyways, I find out about this guy, and from everything I can see and from other people I talk to, the guy appears to be totally legit, and very trustworthy, and that the guy does really high quality work, etc, etc.

So anyways, I send him my XBOX, for him to "pimp it out", with a custom Silver and Blue paintjob with all kinds of lighting effects and stuff. Hard to explain without a pic of it.

OHOAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!


I send this guy my XBOX, and I also send him $140 via PayPal. The $140 is the cost of the custom paint job, all the lighting effects, the custom XBOX jewel, and the return shipping cost. I know that sounds like alot of money, but when my XBOX got back to me, it would be totally tricked out and just look absolutely sweet.

So anyways, I send this guy my XBOX and the $140, and it was only about 6 days before XMAS, and I know that it would take him some time to do this stuff, but it turns out that dude has been totally missing from this website and forum that he always would visit. Other people have complaints against him, and this one guy sent him like $400, to get a totally tricked out to the fullest extent XBOX, and he hasn't gotten anything, and can't get ahold of the guy.


AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!


Right now it appears that my precious XBOX is never coming back to me, and that I'm going to have to try to get ahold of PayPal and try to get some of my funds back from this guy.

There is also the slight chance that this guy had a family emergency, and that he just had to put all of his work on hold, and that he will soon get in contact with everybody and let them know that their stuff would eventually get to them real soon.

But unfortunately, I think I've been hoodwinked.

The thing that sucks is that everybody on this website was raving about his work, and the quality of his work and how solid and reputable the guy is. Then he totally freaking dissapears out of the blue. Everybody there thinks that the guy must have had a death in his family or something. They don't believe that he could be a ripper.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Well, it looks like I was wrong about this guy. Man, now I feel like a real asswhole about it.

The guy shows up and he appologized to everybody, he has a website designer guy that screwed up his website, and he had some other problems and issues, and I guess he was super backed up in getting his work done.

So I was incorrect thinking that I had gotten scammed.

I should be getting my XBOX early next week at the latest. As soon as I get it I'm definitely going to have to show some pics of it. You guys will be blown away by how sweet it's gonna look.

By the way, I originally got my XBOX Hard Drive 100 percent for the emulators, but since I was going to spend all that damn money just to get the emulators to run on my XBOX, I don't mind putting a XBOX game on there as well. So put me in with the total lowlifes.

Although I must admit that my original intention was solely for the emulators. It's the only way that I can play SNES on this one Sony TV I got. For some reason a real SNES will have this weird video anomaly going on. But the XBOX version of SNES looks perfect on it. And the NES, don't even get me started on the NES. That thing, in 1080i is just amazing. And the Genesis looks almost as good as Warm Vanilla Pudding, when you have it at 720p and with the XBOX Tri Linear Filtering and the SuperScale 2X video mode activated.

That's funny. The projector thing was actually a very similar situation. I eventually got all my money back from that. Luckily PayPal helped me out with that. But on that situtation, if PayPal didn't force that guy to pay me, then he wouldn't have paid me.

after skipping through pages of crap i finally got the part part that related to the original post. i was interested in seeing if this guy was getting what he paid for, and im glad he did.

only advice i have anthony: be patient. not really any reason to get fired up, even if there is $400 at stake. eventually, even if its after 3 pages of non-related banter, things seem to work out.

congrats on getting in touch with the modifier. im curious to see how cool this thing looks.

I was going to post this earlier but Anthony's update sort of makes it a moot point. Oh well. The prior 2 weeks up to Christmas at work we had all kinds of customers on the phone and banging on our doors for service when we were winding down for vacation.. apparently nobody thinks about anyone but themselves when there's time off for the holidays.. unfathomable that a business close down for a while, let alone some private guy. Then when you get back in Janurary the floodgates open up and the klaxons blare.

Well, the guy explained that he took on too many jobs at one time. He got slammed, and he wasn't prepared to do that much work that fast. He told everybody else that he isn't taking any more orders until at least February. Maybe even March.

Unfortunately the guy can only take on so much work at a time.

But when I do get it, I will get some pics up here on it, and then you can see for yourself what his handiwork is like. And once he starts taking orders again, I'll let everybody know.

It's hard to be serious about a person pre-emptively calling in a theft of an Xbox during the holiday season, when the person sent the Xbox in not for any essential repairs, but rather for a purely aesthetic modification. I call that comedy, my good man, and I am sorry you cannot see it.
