Here's a new spin on a familiar subject. We all have our lists of top 5 rarest NES games, but what about the games that people actually want, but aren't technically rare? These games are hard to find because people who have them are wary of selling them of trading them because they are fun to play, not just because they have a limited print run.

Before I start, is this something that we've done before? Usually when we do rarity lists, these are the type of games that people list as rare but are shot down because the "rarity" of the game is based on the terms above, not just because there weren't a lot made.

Here's my top 5, just from personal experience looking at fleas, GameCrazy, etc.

1. Final Fantasy
2. Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!!!
3. Dragon Warrior 2-4
4. Tecmo Super Bowl
5. Tengen Tetris (just as the guide says, it's not really that rare, but people who have them tend to keep them)

Awww.. and here I was thinking you were posting this in the B&S forum because you were going to propose trading some of these to someone for some of their lesser cr*ppy dupes.

Out of the kindness of your heart.. of course! ;)

Since this is in the right forum now, I'll give it a quick bump to the top. I'm interested in what you all think of this!

1. River City Ransom always 15+
2. Super Dodge Ball always 15+
3.Kid Icarus always 10+
4.Final fantasy always 20+
5.Dragon Warriors (2-4) always 20+

I do have all of these, but, I can never find doubles on the cheap. Had a hard time picking them up on the cheap.

Also wanted to give shout outs to RC Pro Am II always 15+ Although it is sem- rare, uncommon. I still have yet to find it cheap.Tecmo Super Bowl. Sometimes I can find it for around 3-5. Most of the time it is 10+.

So are you looking for our own lists of most sought after games, as opposed to the most uncommon/rare ones (# in existence) ?

I forgot about Super Dodge Ball! I guess I''d replace that with th DW games.

I'm not talking about your personal sought after list, but games that are hard to come by because *everyone* wants them.

"1. River City Ransom always 15+
2. Super Dodge Ball always 15+
3.Kid Icarus always 10+
4.Final fantasy always 20+
5.Dragon Warriors (2-4) always 20+ "

This list seems pretty accurate. I would include Megaman 1,5,6. They sell for a pretty high price, because people don't want to sell their copies.

Interesting topic. I've not enough flea experience myself, but it's good reading all the same! Hmm, Herzog Zwei and Forgotten Worlds probably fit on that list somewhere, though (I was lucky enough to find both along with a lot of NICE Genesis games at my local Goodwill recently)!

Interesting. It's a little different out where I live (Cleveland area) Final Fantasy, Mega Man and the Dragon Warriors 2-4 are always $15 but some of the others Dodge Ball, River City Ransom, and Tecmo Super Bowl are always $5 or so. I'm not saying that there are an abundance of these titles (except for super bowl) but when I see them that's what they cost.

So my personal list would read something like this

1. Final Fantasy
2. Dragon Warriors
3. Mega Man
4. Kid Icarus
5. North and South
