Game Genie import codes for Genesis

According to numerous sources, the Genesis Game Genie can be used to play import games. This is done by inputting certain codes on the Game Genie menu screen.

I am in the situation of having a PAL Mega Drive, and wanting to play US Genesis games.

Can anyone point my towards some of these codes? Specifically, for Art of Fighting, Samurai Showdown and Super Street Fighter II?

You don't need to input any codes to play import games with a Game Genie. Just start the game without any codes. However, if you want to play those games with codes, just do a search on the net for Game Genie codes for the ones that you want to play with codes. The codes will either be the same regardless of the region, or if seperate codes exist for different regions, then they'll be listed by each region. The only import games that you can't play with a Game Genie are the ones with region lockout chips. (like Pulseman) In those cases, you'll either need an import console, or you'll have to mod your system. But there's very few Genesis games that have region lockout chips.

I have read that there are certain Game Genie codes that can be used to unlock the region coding in import games (the games I mentioned have region lock-outs).

Bah, it's looking more likely I'll need to buy an import Genesis. :frustrated:

Oh, OK. I think that maybe I heard something about that too, now that you mention it. It wouldn't surprise me if there were codes for that, but I dunno where to find them other than doing a search for them, if they actually exist.

I managed to find a few for some games, just not for these games specifically. Hence the thread. ;)

The only ones i have seen are for games other than the ones you reqested codes for.

Just buy a cheap Mega Drive and mod it....it will save you alot of trouble.
