Tough choice, but at this moment it would be between TRon, Budweiser Tapper, and Arkanoid Revenge of Doh!

I would now choose Arkanoid Revenge of Doh!

What are your contenders and choice?

Tron was one of my favorite games of all time. I get the chills just thinking about that game. It's one of the first games I'm going to buy when we finally get a house. The other two offer more replayability and party potential. Why not just get all three? :D

well since i already got the mk2 cab, my choice would either be a 4 slot neo geo mvs or a dedicated street fighter 2 turbo.

I'd get either Defender or Stargate. It's a tough call, but I'd probably lean toward Defender.

Other games I'd put in the running would be Xevious, Gravitar, Marble Madness, Bump N' Jump, Discs Of Tron (the stand-up booth), Star Wars cockpit, Spy Hunter.

Maybe Peter Packrat, Rally-X or Berzerk.

Robotron 2084. Or Spy Hunter. Or Front Line

Since I own a World Heroes MVS cart, a Neo Geo MVS machine would probably be a good bet for me. On the other hand, when I went to Indianapolis I got to play a sit down Rad Mobile machine and I very much liked it.

Ghouls'n Ghosts! Without a doubt.

I'd get either ESP Ra.De. or BloodStorm. I've wanted a BloodStorm machine since I was a kid.

Robotron 2084. Or Spy Hunter. Or Front Line

No "or"s for me -- Robotron 2084.

If I got more active into arcade machines, I'd also have to add Space Invaders, Battlezone, Tac-Scan, Sprint (or whatever the old Atari game was), a few others like Asteroids, Bosconian...

I'd love to own a dedicated racing kabinet. preferably those fancy ones with a huge screen and a moving seat.
Sega rally, Virtua Racing and Scud Race would be best.

Classic gaming, there was this space shooter, like Galaga, but the aliens came in these eggs... Don't remember what that was called, though, but one of my all time favorite arade games. I'm a capcom fighter fan, but for arcades, I'd have to say Super Street Fighter II Turbo. Currently, I'd love a DDR machine, preferably 4th Mix. Any Pump it Up! machine ranks high on my list as well, but, if I had to choose, DDR would nudge Pump by just a little...

It's be nice to have a fully working Fantasy, but barring that (because I know quite a few of those machines were converted or junked), I'd have to go with Tron, Robotron, Galaga, or Change Lanes.

I've been jonesin' for Change Lanes over the past year or two. Somebody emulate that sucker and soon!

Ms. Pac Man for sure... I spent countless hours in college a local honky tonk bar drunk (due to their unlimited $.10 well drink special) playing Ms. Pac Man. Ahhh.... the memories.

Wow! Another Fantasy fan. So you're the other one. Someone else who actually knows about this game. I've seen NOS conversion kits for this game with the marquee and everything. I don't think it'd be hard to make an original looking one because the factory version just game in a generic cab with fake wood sides. It's actually a SNK game.

If I could have only one machine I think I'd pick a Scramble upright, Konami version with the side art of the space pilot, not the words STERN. My runners up would be an original Space War(Nutting) and a Prop Cycle.

Definitely 2.

1. TAITO Space Invaders Part II (Note: NOT Midway SI Deluxe). For the sheer coolness of the cabinet

Yep. I'm the other one, as you say (I've kinda gotten that feeling as well, that it was probably just me and whoever designed and programmed the damn thing!). I'd love to have a cabinet all dolled up like this one:

http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/arc3/fantasy.jpg (http://www.thelogbook.com/phosphor/fantasy.html)

Though that comes from the sell sheet and it might be that no such beast existed in general distribution.

I've got a marquee, I just need the rest of the game now. :)

Also, though I wouldn't really want one, I can't believe someone else knows about Pump It Up!. Not a bad game really, but no substitute for DDR...sorry. :D

I certainly KNOW about the game, and heard good things about it back in the day, but I never got to play it because it never showed up locally. I would have liked to have seen it, since it was a tiny little company instead of one of the big boys (at least videogame-wise).

I know Fantasy as well! :D Growing up we were pretty much surrounded by the huge menagerie of jap games and I pretty much played them all and I did have a good couple of plays of Fantasy during those days..

But why of all the older games would you want a full version of it? :? :P

Of course, for me, DDR beats Pump. But, you have to admit if it isn't your turn, Pump is really pretty to look at... Plus, as it seems I must defend Pump on some level (you have to defend the underdog!), if you have two moderate dance gamers, one playing DDR, one playing Pump, the person playing Pump looks like they are actually dancing. That is to say, the steps you must make in Pump makes you appear to actually be dancing. A DDR player not doing any tricks is not forced to move like they are dancing, and can get by pretty well looking goofy. I don't know. Just watch people the next time they play both games. I still hold DDR as my favorite, though.

Very personal connection to that game - goes back to when my mom was every bit the video game nut that I was, back when the arcade was king and the Atari 2600 reigned supreme. :)

My first choices would be either Defender, Stargate, or Spy Hunter (preferably the sit-down version). Runner-ups: Robotron 2084, DDR (any good version is fine for me) or the 20th anniversary Ms. Pac-Man/Galaga two-in-one cabinet.

Well I own one actual arcade game and it's Spy Hunter. that was one of my all time favorites and the only favorite that I was able to find and afford. Others which I would love to own are;

Star Wars
Super Punch Out

If we have to stick to arcade games that have already been released, I'd go with...DDR 4th Mix Plus. Yummy...

Well of the ones I haven't found for myself yet I would first want a enviromental Discs of Tron. I remember staying over at a friend's house in Jr. High and spending half the night playing it at the local Safeway. After that I'd want a Robotron and a Pepper II.
