Not sure if this belongs in the CGE Connection but this is my question...
With 2005 being my first CGE. Im wondering what the trading is like there. Would you call it one of the best places to find great deals, cheaper than eBay or is it just a place to meet up, party and make connections with fellow retro gamers?

It's all of the above and more. I've scored some pretty good deals at CGE, but it's not half as fun as hanging out with the people I'd only met on the 'net. And occasionally haggling with them. LOL

I concur, some of the prices and deals are really good and the people are really great to hang out with. There are always a couple of people trying to sell something like a SMB/DH cart for a lot more than it's worth, but that kind of thing happens everywhere.

Plus, you can strike up a conversation with nearly anyone there, whether you've met them in person or online or never. Hell, I talked with a guy for an hour or so about his homemade Jaguar unit, and I'd never met him or seen him before!
