I just picked one up new, never saw one before. It has two speakers, a walkman and headphones. All emblazoned in the Gamecube logo and has the Nintendo seal of quality on the back of the packaging. What the hell is up with this, anyone know?

they also made a camera and a stand alone boom box style radio, as well as a stand alone one speaker radio. they came in a blister pack, and i got the boombox one and the walkman for $12.99 and $11.99 respectively.

you can see mine here...

I've seen things like this with Mario 64 logos, N64 logos, and GCN logos, all in closeout stores.

It's the perfect portable CD player for extremely anti-Sony Nintendo fanboys! LOL

Seriously though, I've never seen any of these before. Cool stuff. And that GB backpack is one of the coolest looking backpacks I've ever seen.

Same thematic style achika, except mine's a tape player and the speakers remind me of computer speakers. I'll have pics up in a day or so when I get off my lazy ass to do it :)

I have a couple GBC/ "Cassette Boy Color"items that I picked up somewhere for cheap.. licensed by Nintendo.

They are just tape player walkmans with headphones.

Then I have 1 or two others that don't have the tape option just FM radio walkmans with headphones..
I picked up these key chains too that were within the lot of this stuff that look like mini GBCs/everything licensed by Nintendo.

I'd take picks but the only thing on hand is the Cassette Boy Colors

So has anyone actually confirmed whether or not they are in fact official Nintendo products? If they are, are they of USA origin, or perhaps imports from Japan?

You never know, they may have only been intended for Brazil or Mexico or places like that? Hong Kong even?

Failing that, they could just be the sort of cheap tat you see at markets and car boot sales all the time...

Still, even if they are, they are still cool additions to any Nintendo fanboy's collection!

Nintendo is notorious for licensing out their systems / characters to everything and anything. In fact if you wanted you could have your WHOLE house decorated with Mario stuff if you wanted. They even made wallpaper and trashcans. Here's a pic of my trash can.

My god...it's like the earth opened and suddenly part of the world fell right into the seventh plane of hell (roughly the seventh, I think. Been a while since I read Inferno)!

Seriously, who needs this garbage? Good think Mario's more likeable than Garfield, otherwise we'd have a real Garfy Factor going. :O

Hey, how'd you get that Lodgenet controller? Is there a system with it (what fee did you have to pay for THAT, if that's the case? lol)?

when the search is back up you can find more about it. but i bought it from a hotel. its useless. the cord is a phone type cord that only works on their tvs. no system, worthless controller, $29.99.

i love it! and id buy more....

i guess theres a gamecube version and someone posted a link to an SNES version too...
