Whatever happened to Magical Vacation (GBA)?

Anyone remember hearing about this prior to the GBA's release? It looked excellent, and was being developed by some of the members of the original Secret of Mana team. Now, I can find sketchy details about plans for a Magical Vacation 2 for the DS. But I never heard anything about the first one! Did it ever come out? Did it just not make it to the US?

Yeah, I think by a team of ex square members called "Browny Brown". Anyways, i'm fairly sure it got a release, but like you said it was jap only.

Yeah, I remember reading about it back in 2001. I just imagine that it never saw a US release, not uncommon.

Yeah I was reading an old Nintendo Power and saw it, it does look indeed sweet, but I think it only made a Jap release.

Anyone played it? What sort of knowledge of Japanese is required?
