View Full Version : Want it Now = Idiots

Alright. I tried posting a respectable want ad on Ebay's Want it now ("The Kendo" simple series PS1 import). There's none on ebay (and only has been one in the last year or so) and I am willing to pay a reasonable price. Seems nobody else can do the same

never mind people asking for things are readily available in stores, and on ebay. Or the people who list things like "I want Suikoden 2. I'll pay $10!". Or people who probably can't find what they're looking for on ebay because they can't spell "Nitendo or Playsttion" properly. People who ask for games that don't exist are my favorites (Dungeon sword for Xbox? Burgertime for PS2? Strawberry Shortcake NES?). And then there's people like this:

http://wantitnow.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?WantItNowView&adid=8159132738

and on guy who I can't remember the link for, wanted the original Famicom version of Recca. (and said he'd pay $100)

check it out here:

there should be a whole forum dedicated to "Want it Now" Insanity. It's such a farce.

What's Recca and what is it worth?

I don't know what the real cartridge would be worth. I only know about the Proto reproductions done by our board members: Necrosaro420 and Leonk. Perhaps either of them could tell you more?

What's Recca and what is it worth?
The Second Tournament, Summer Carnival '92, according to one title screen, followed by another saying "Recca." It's from Naxat Soft.

I'm not sure what it's worth, as the Guide is incomplete here, but the other two games to share the title listed on DP are both R6 and $45/$50 complete, each. Not terribly common!

Want it now has a long way to go in terms of functionality and options. You can only list in the main Video Game / Games or Systems categories.

That games on CD post might be a setup by the ebay people, who knows?

How long has WANT IT NOW been on ebay. I go there everyday and haven't seen this. It must be pretty new???

I think two or three weeks ago I started getting emails about it. The emails also showed up in ebay's new ebay inbox which is a place they send a duplicate email to so that you can know when you are getting authentic emails from ebay. Another new feature.

Recca's sweet, you should give it a try out on the emu sometime. It's an insanely fast and manic shooter for the NES. I don't see how $100 would be all too much for it, as it is a shmup (and they're generally expensive) plus it has got to be one of the last nes games, and i was under the impression that it was never sold in stores...could be wrong tho.

Kick ass music too.

But anyways, I never even knew about this want it now feature, i'll have to check it out.

O_O

over HALF of these "Want It Now" ads are either spelled wrong or grammatically incorrect.

I wonder how long before eBay pulls this idea? Cause "Want It Now" seems like nothing more than a forum for spam and piracy.

Goota love the engrish

"It's a playstasion 1 guide to the game chrono cross. It's really hard to find, and whenever I do find it, it always cost so much.

I want one guide, used or new in good or fair shape. Price range to as low as I can get it or to about $5-$15

Let me know if you have one to sale, I can pay for it by paypal only.

Thank you so much!!!! "

ROFLMAO! What would be even funnier would be if it WASN'T posted by Andre Henretta!

As for how long has WIN been available, it debuted sometime around the day after Thanksgiving I think. It was definitely in place for most if not all of December. Apparently it began as somewhat of a Christmas wishlist feature.

"Hello I am looking for an rpg game for the SNES I am not sure of the title. However. You are this guy." But then he goes into detail and it's obviously shadowrun.

One of my favorite WIN's read something like this

"Looking for a NES complete in box with SMB 1,2,and 3. I don't want to pay ebay prices. Offering $25 shipped."

If you don't want to pay ebay prices than maybe you should look somewhre else.

Some people x_x

The first day this feature debuted, I posted some of my wants from another hobby. These were all EXTREMELY rare items that actually were worth listing on want it now, or so I thought. I was deluged with people offering me tons of completely unrelated crap. Never again!
