84 sequential issues dating from 1993-1999 plus bonus lot of 28 additional issues. The bonus lot dates from 2000-2002 and includes #'s 126-130, 132-144, 146 (With limited edition Final Fantasy X cover by Yoshitaka Amano!), 147, 149, 150-155, & 157. Shipping for the whole lot is pretty expensive, even by media mail, due to the weight of the paper and number of issues. So $40 shipping for the whole lot. I'm willing to sell the issues in the bonus lot individually, but I will only break up the sequential issues by year. I want to sell these as quickly as possible and I'm tired of them gathering dust here. Shipping for a year will be $4, or for individual issues will be $1 every 3 issues. I'll take $200 for the whole lot, but I won't take only $1 per issue for them!

OK folks, I really need to get rid of all these magazines as soon as possible.

Is anybody willing to take them all for $200 shipped? Please let me know.

You've been posting on that subject for months already and yet you're still stuck with these. Obviously, these are not as valuable as you think. If you REALLY need to get rid of the mags, don't you think you should significantly lower the price or give 'em away? Just a thought. Good luck anyway.

OK, how much do you think that I should ask for them then? $150 shipped? $100 shipped? $50 shipped? Give them all away for free, and pay $50 to ship them all myself? Pay someone else to buy them all from me? Is that a "deal"? I had to pay $5 apiece for them. The going rate on ebay is about $3 apiece for them. So I really don't think that asking for $2 apiece for them is a ripoff. A ripoff would be letting someone else get them all for $1 apiece, and sorry, but I'm not in the mood to get ripped off. I'd rather use them for a bonfire. Anybody wanna see me do that? I certainly can. I'll even post the pics here.

Well I'm glad, because I'm serious. I'll film the whole thing, and sell copies of that, if that's what will actually sell the damn things. I'm tired of them just sitting here gathering dust in my house. I have had a few people interested in them for $200, but none who've actually come up with the money yet. I am willing to negotiate on these, but I don't see why I should give them all away, just because so many people here wanna be cheap. I know we all wanna be cheap, but give me a break, I'm not asking for a fortune for these things. If I said OK, I'll sell them all individually for $2 an issue, I'd surely sell some of them to people looking to fill in holes in their own collections. But then all I'd have is a bunch of leftovers that I might as well burn, because once all the holes were filled around here, I'd be left with nothing but a big holey collection that would only sell individually on ebay. And it would just cost too much to sell all of these off individually on ebay, not to mention it would take too much time. So I'm at a loss as to how to get rid of all these magazines without just giving them all away. Anybody wanna make an offer?

ROFL LOL

That is hilarious!!!
Good luck selling these magazines. I don't think that asking $2 an issue is bad at all, it seems like a great deal actually. The problem is, you are so many of them, that many people don't want to drop $200 for magazines all at one time.
If all else fails, you could do the bon fire thing, and charge people $1 to watch the video online . LOL

Iron Dragoon, I am interested in your lot of magazines, HOWEVER, I must say, that if you paid $5 an issue, when you could plainly get a subscription for $19.99 for 12 issues a year, that ALREADY lowers them to BELOW a $1 an issue as it is. You have to understand that magazines value is not based on newsstand, but moreso on subscription price, or if the magazine is rare. I'd be willing to even trade some games if you want, but $200 is considerable right now I would say. Please feel free to AIM me or PM me so we can work on a deal.

Obviously, I meant "give them away to someone local or ask them to pay for the shipping if they aren't located near you". I mean, if you really NEEDED to unload them as you said in your first post, that shouldn't bother you. x_x

OK folks, here's the deal, since I'm VERY desperate for cash right now, I am willing to let these go for $150 shipped, but I MUST have $100 left after shipping & Paypal fees. (I have a premium account, so I get charged a small percentage of every payment that I receive, even refunded payments!) Now that's only about $1 per issue, but I MUST have some cash within the next few days, because I have to use that money for something by Monday. So this is very much an emergency. I wish that I had something far more valuable and far more interesting to offer, but this is all I have right now that I'm willing to part with. I worked too long and too hard to get all the rarities in my collection, and it's too hard to find most of my commons anymore either, so unfortunately this is it. I don't even have any dupes I can sell. Very sad, I know, but that's just the way that it is. Sending a PM now, DreamTR.

Well actually, the fact that none of these do have any subscription stickers on them should make them worth alot more than they would be worth if they did have subscription stickers on them. Who wants somebody else's name on their magazine collection? However, I don't know if EGM ever put subscription stickers on their mags. Since they were sold in plastic bags at the newsstands, I would assume that subscribers got them with subscription stickers on the bags, instead of on the magazines. But at the time, I had money to burn, so $5 apiece was nothing to me back then. I was paying at least $50 apiece for every new game that came out as soon as it came out, so a measly $5 a month was no big deal, even if subscribing was cheaper.

But you know, the pyromaniac in me would actually prefer to just burn them all! It would be fun to see 112 issues of EGM go up in smoke, and with all the EGM haters around here and elsewhere on the net lately, now that the mag is sinking to new alltime lows I probably could charge $1 per view to watch them burn! I bet that I could sell the ashes for $1 a bag too. They're probably worth even more as ashes that went up in flames than they are as they are now, very well preserved and in very good shape! Perhaps I should start a poll: Sell them as is, or sell the ashes and charge to watch them burn? I know there's alot of other pyros here, so I know I'm not the only one who would love to indulge in such a fantasy, and film it for posterity for all to see!

HOORAY! No more EGM in my house, and a TON more room for new games!

(Literally a TON too, these things weigh over 75 lbs! Practically a paper mill!)

So, Can you post pictures of the Bonfire??

I have the same problem. I have complete runs of Game Informer, Gamefan, EGM, Gamepro, OPM, and any other Game mags you can think of. I don't want to get rid of them but they take up alot of room. I have thought of selling them but it is almost not worth the trouble.

LOL Well, somewhat unfortunately I'm not gonna get to have a bonfire with them, as they'll be shipped out to the buyer first thing in the morning. So I actually sold them. I guess that Canadian Psycho was right, I was just asking a little bit too much for them all this time, so all it took was enough price drops to get in the vicinity of what people were willing to pay for them. And I can tell you for sure there are plenty of people interested in buying back issues of old gaming magazines, so I would say that it's definitely worth all the trouble, if you really want to get rid of them all. It just takes alot of time and alot of patience, and alot of price drops, if you don't get the price right the first time. So hopefully, I've learned my lesson on the right price now.

Good luck to you!
