I had to go for X-Men Legends, it was a solid game and it broke the mold by being a good licened superhero game.

I voted Tales. Out of all the games on this list it's honestly the one I had the most fun playing.

Although I didn't get to play much of Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door, I really loved the first game, and I'm looking forward to kick ass on this too.

Paper Mario is the only RPG (Well, the Mario RPG series in general) I can get into besides the original Dragon Warrior. Final Fantasy, move over, Mario's gonna kick your ass.
Paper Mario wins.

I voted for Final Fantasy 1+2 but maybe because I have never played through the first Final Fantasy before. :embarrassed: Second, would be X-Men Legends.

i voted for harvest moon simply because even though it has been done before on the n64 and gba, i thought it was a very unique idea. i thought it was extremely original.

I was really torn between Phantom Brave and Paper Mario 2. However I actually played Paper Mario 2 the most so I voted for it instead.

It was tough trying to choose between shin megami and shadow hearts 2. I choose sh 2 with megaten: nocturne a close second.

Temple of Elemental Evil (One of the best RPG's to come along in awhile) isn't on there, so I'll vote tales.

Final Fantasy 1 and 2 Dawn of the Souls. This is a great update of two classics. I can not stop playing Final Fantasy. Alos, now I can play FF2 without a crappy emu translated version being needed.
Psycho Mantis

I had a really hard time between
Phantom Brave (100+ hours in that puppy)
Tales of Symphonia (loved it loved it loved it)
Shadow Hearts: Covenant
Nocturne
All fantastic games...
I'm REALLY surprised at the top two places tho...
Paper Mario 2 was solid, creative, but nothing special.
FF: Dawn of Souls... OH MY GOD!!!!!

Ok they BUTCHERED number 1. They force you to play it like you're some 4-year old who's never played an RPG before. They made leveling quicker, MP astronomically higher, prices lower, enemies easier, basically everything brainless. No fiend took me more than 3 turns to kill! I one-hitted some of the minibosses like the vampire and the eye... and I NEVER leveled up extra. The extra dungeons were a JOKE, I one-hitted all the enemies as soon as they opened up, btu the stupid bosses you had to wait til near the end of the game to be able to kill... so by the time you could kill the bosses, the random fights were mind-numbingly slow.
And then they artificially make Chaos "harder" by increasing his HP to some ridiculous, as yet undiscovered by me number. I've done over 16,000 hp to him, and he just heals himself with curaja over and over again. How fun, la de da.
Haven't played 2 yet, but all I need to know about it is they didn't FIX what was originally a horrifically broken game in the first place, so I have no interest in that game whatsoever.
/rant off
Sorry :P Oy I'm really surprised all you classic gamers didn't see through that game...
