It's called a Demo Vision. Apparently, it was a device stores could use to display Game Boy games on a moitor or tv. It features a red Game Boy Pocket hard wired to a box about the size of a PC. Here is the auction;

Other than what's stated in the auction, I have no info. I can find no information on the net about this unit at all. Search here turned up nothing as well. So, does anyone here have any knowledge they'd like to share?

It's one of those units you used to see at E3. Developers hooked them up to monitors so visitors could see their Game Boy (and Game Boy Color) games on a big screen. I'm not sure what else you want to know - they weren't sold commercially but many developers had (and probably still do have) them.

Well, That makes a lot more sense than it being a store display unit. That ribbon cable wouldn't survive a day in a store. And, actually, I think I like it even better now. Thanks!

Neuropolitique, sweet find!

I've actually been looking for one of those for a while, so if you'd like to sell it, please give me a shout.

Thanks in advance if you do! :)

Frank, who has these? Didn't someone around here get a lot of their stuff? Or, um, was it you? :-) LOL

Sorry, no plans to sell. I'm very excited to have one. I was so worried someone from here would post it Buying and Selling or something. ;) I will have plenty of pics when I receive it.

On a somewhat related note, the same seller has a SNES tester unit up right now.

Only 3 hours left, but it seems pretty cheap to me.
