Stuck on the freaking 5th level of Duke Nukem 3D

Alright....I'm in the place that is lit in a red light...I climbed up the damn cliff on the right hand side and I reached a dead end. I searched everywhere...I blasted the wall to the right of the dead end but it leads me back to where that San Andreas sign is. Now what the heck I do? This thing is pissing me off. I read faqs various walkthrough and they don't help. :angry:

I went back to the room where I get shot with a shrink ray, seemed like the second earthquake didn't occur when I approached that hole where the shot comes thru. Now that it happened, I found the big spaceship. All I had to do was that. Wow.....

level 5? isnt that near the boss...if your near the san andreas fault...the boss is close...

What's the name of the level? Is this the one that looks like a canyon, and when you get near the little slab with San Andreas on it, the ground caves in?

Yeah it is,.....level 6 is the boss...he's very close...

LOL, the Red Light District is the second level. He's on the fifth.

I still remember how impressed I was with DN3D back in the day. Mirrors kicked ass! And destructible scenery was da bomb, yo!

Ok here's how to get out of there...level 5 is the boss level aka "The Aybss

ok, find the long pit of fire, there is a hand switch in that pit, which the stone panel will move to the left...walk all the way till you are in a room with a few of those brain aliens.

you got to turn on that glowing green light (shrink beam which you will need)

After hitting the switch to raise the stairs...run to the top and jump up and hit another switch...to your right will be a rising platform...quickly jump unto the platform and hit that switch...but wait till the beam hits you....as soon as you shrink...quickly run under the tiny hole near the enterance you came in

what you just did, was open up a side of the mountain in the red area...walk across that toxic waste to the other side...fight your way like crazy to the end of it....and good luck with the boss!

Duke was king untill i saw the stuff done in both "Shadow Warrior" and "Blood".

Shadow Warrior had some constantly impressive levels while Blood had a first episode that was awesome but later episodes had one or two really good levels.

Setting fire to the cultists and zombies in "Blood" never ever gets old.

Thankz for the mini walkthrough. Sorry I haven't replied sooner. The reason why I was stuck was because the second "earthquake" didn't occur in the lava room. Once the earthquake did occur, I found my way to the ship. It was a piece of cake killing off the Boss. :D Push Upstairs, my brother lost his copy of Shadow Warrior. :/

I always liked the line he says after the fist boss vanishes

"You weak like baby fart, go live in fear." LOL

But his lines towards the girl taking a bath in the temple and the one in the submarine were his best(worst).

"Ooops, Lo Wang drop soap. You bend over and get it hahahaha!"
