I know the guide is giving a value of $250 but I have never seen it for that much so can anyone tell me what is considered a more realistic value for Sapce Squash for the Virtual Boy?
Someone is offering this game for $55, cheap or just normal?
I am sure it can interest a few here, the seller has 16 left : http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=4315&item=8159417343&rd=1&ssPageName=WDVW

Um, I'd say that's a little cheap. It usually runs around $80-120, so I'd say that's a great price, but no where near the $250 price tag.

Good GOD, could you REALLY turn around and re-sell this game on EBay for double the money?

Yes.
Any chance these are fakes? Anybody heard of these being pirated?

VB fakes? I didn't realize the VB was THAT mainstream yet. Game Boy fakes, yes they exist because folks in HK can sell enough to recoup the losses of producing the cases in the first place. Cranking out a few high-cost VB fakes at a time probably isn't worth it.

That's what I figured. Just kinda weird seing a whole case of an R8 game.

Hm. Now there's 14 left. I'll see how many are bought in the next hour or so and I'll consider getting one...maybe I should anyways! If this was the Space Invaders game I'd definitely get it. o_O

If it was Space Invaders I'd have bough them all at that price :p
Looks like someone got the cash handy because he bought the 14 copies that were left... and you'll see them pop up, one per month for the next year and sell for $80 each.

maybe it's a shill account, when someone let him in on how much they COULD sell for... and he'll resell them one at a time for a higher price

I was gonan say the same...
VB Fakes are highly unlikely!
And as for the whole case, this is what the shops/retailers will get, maybe this guy used to own a shop and accidently misplaced this box and only found it again recently... anything is possible

Good point, and the more I think about it the more sense that makes. Damn, I really shoulda jumped when I had that window of opportunity. Went out to shovel some snow, came back and they're all gone. :/

Yeah, I wish I had bought some also....but I wanted to be sure I cold actually re-sell them at some point for a profit, since I don't have a VB and I'm not a collector. :P

Good deal or not you'd think that an entire case of these being available on ebay would have some effect on the game's rarity and value.

That's what I don't get. If I were him I'd have put one or two first and the batch later.
In any case I don't think it is going to affect the value much, maybe for a few weeks but that's it. And it is probably the reason why someone bought the 14 left.

Actually, what happened was that phish21 bought this case of 20 Space Squashes off Ebay for around $600 a little more than a month ago. Turning around and selling them like this, he's made a quick $600 profit. Very smart.

That's a great move. He could have made more money, but damn, you can never complain about doubling your money! Do you have the link to the original auction?

That was a nice move... if you had $600 available.
