I get all the guppies,
I aint had a neg on ebay in ages, and every one I have had has been either a complete and utter tool or a revenge neg.
today I get one from some looser of a blerk woman.
am I being unreasonable here ?
the fact that I offer full refund on all my stuff if the buyer isnt satisfied in any way shape or form, didnt even come into question since the stupid tool didnt even bother to inform me that she was unhappy before negging !!

not as dexribed ???
christ, I rushed through that lot as they were cheap offloads I wasnt expecting much for it, so wasnt gonna waste my time giving intricate details, and before you ask, the book was in quite reasonable condition, no dog earing, bent pages, the picture is a scan of the cover so you can see, not as new but not damaged.
described as USED !!!
postage.. £2 for a hardback book , I use a microfibe padded envelopes (NEW) at 80p each for all books Im at work at the moment so cant remeber how much post actualy was but the remaining £1.20 doesnt sound too far off the mark..
I even offered local pickup in the add to save people postage cost !! AND buy 2 books pay post for one.. what more could I do.
JEESH !!!
if I could get hold of her now I'd... why I'd...

Well in all honnestly you never say what condition it is so it is buyer beware for the chick that bought your book. But it looks like thats just a stock photo of the book anyways so that could be misleading. But yeah its a case of a typical ebay n00b sending out negatives before trying to contact the person first. Maybe if you e-mail her and offer her a refund she can retract it?

That's why I don't like to submit pictures of scans, they look too much like stock photos. I prefer pictures where you can see stuff in the background and tell that its a pic of an actual item. Sure photos can be faked as well but it just makes me feel a bit bette when bidding.

well it turns out i did overcharge her on postage, but wasnt aware, I have mailed her and offered a refund of the excess, hopefully she will withdraw the neg.
she's still out of order on the description though, she could have asked for more information, I agree the description was lacking, but thats why we have question for sellers..

Even some newbies aren't as bad as her as my very first purchase last year turned out to be a disaster. Instead of losing my cool and sending out a negative feedback, I just contacted the seller (nicely) and everything as nicely resolved.
Anyways I can understand why it would be so annoying. I hope I never receive neg. feedback, but I suppose given enough time it's inevitable.

i know what you're saying. i've been a member of ebay for almost five years and never got a neg until about 3 months ago when some retard did a b.i.n. and must have had buyers remorse so rather than retracting his bid he ignored me and left me a neg. mind you, this was AFTER i called him 3000 miles away and left a message on his machine. i then relisted the item and sold it for about $100 less...and i'm the bad guy x_x he had no feedbacks then and i can only assume he was banned for a while, ebay should not allow new users to post a neg until it's reviewed or the seller posts feedback. i should have stated "must have 25+ and no neg" ohh well, i learned my lesson...retards + ebay = sucks

I've had rants myself,
Certainly some dodgy people about on "the bay"
Recent ebay stories I can tell in short are:
The one where I sold a Commodore Amiga, the guy said it didnt work, wanted a refund before he returned it, I refused said I needed to test it as it was sent out working. Filed a paypal complaint. Paypal said if he returned in orig. condition they would refund him automatically out my account. They refunded him after he returned it... broken keys, broken disk drive button, screwdriver gouges on the case.. had been opened and Amiga inside the case was NOT the gubbins sent originally!
Guy with 0 feedback used buy it now on a game, I contacted him and when I asked him why he hadnt paid, he said "You havn't sent me the game yet!" - after explaining how eBay works, he said "Oh, well, I wouldnt do that anyway mate, send money first" - GOOD LUCK BUYING ANYTHING ON EBAY - he then proceeded to deny he had bought anything in the first place, apparently someones stolen his name, telephone number, address and email address -
And countless more stories of hilarity (or not.. at the time!)
:eek 2:

well she continues to be a tool, I sent her a mail requesting that she withdrew the ffedback as I thought she was being unfair, as thier was little description to be incorrect in the firstplace, and post was listed in the auction before she bid...all polite,
she mailed back saying she couldnt find a way to change it to neutral, so I mailed back pointing out the mutual removal link, and saying that had she contacted me before leaving the neg I would have been happy to fully refund as |with everything I sell unless specifically noted as faulty or summat. and that even a neutral (not that that was now possible) is fair.
turns out as I said I did overcharge on the post cost, I estimated for worldwide post on a book a couple of weeks ago of similar dimensions that went to australia, and she just paid as soon as the auction finished with paypal, without querrying costs to USA. or ever questioning the condition of the book (which was good for a 20 year old book !!) sent the book the day after auction finished with 20 other items that finished the day before, so just got a grand total for all postings from the postmaster, £100 jeesh !!!..anyhows. went away content I had been good to all my buyers.
her complaint is the books no good to her as it had a ex-library stamp mark in it !!!!....clearly this makes it unreadable ???
get a snotty mail back saying she is not going to withdraw.yada yada yada..
just a dumb frickin blonde no doubt, who cant admit she should have not bid if she didnt like the post cost or was unsure of the description.. admitidly I could have put more, but thats why the have a "contact seller button".
so at the end of it, im glad the bitch paid me £5 too much, I would have happily refunded it at any point, not conditional on her withdrawing the neg, till I got the third snotty mail, to which I replied equally snotty.
anyway she then sent me a reply to that, to which I have not give her the courtessy of reading, just straight to delete, shes wasted too much of my time already.
I wonder if she would have been so quick to neg had I not already left her possative feedback, see with buyers, it doesnt just end at recieving the cash, is it any wonder people dont use the feedback system readily.

Was she a collecter? I would imagine that a library stamp on the inside of a book cover would be as much a turn off to a book collector as a rental sticker on a videogame is for some of us.

Not disclosing a Library mark is a big no-no in book selling on Ebay...

well normally I do give a full description, however for some reason I was rushing through that day getting rid of a lot of old less valuable books, and while I do understand her point, her attitude is outragous. she accused me of being disshonest and misleading.
even though I had offered a full refund after she negged..
no where in the auction did I say the condition was perfect, it was described as used.
I library stamps are not "a big no no" on ebay, I have sold hundreds of books, infact thats my feild of expertise and although it may make a diffrence to a valuable collectors item, it is not such a big deal on a book thats final sale value was £4.20 ($8)
and as I have said previosly in all other aspects the book woud be described by book experts as "fair to good" as in none yellowed pages, no pen marks, not dog ear'd
