Is there anywhere i can stay for cheap because i really dont want to shell out $ for a hotel room(damn college tutition) or i'll be forced to sell some of my collection which i dont want to do

How old are you, how are you planning on getting there, and how cheap do you want to go?

If you want to go sort of cheap, I'm guessing you could take a tent and find a nearby campground to stay at.

If you want to go REAL cheap, I'd drive, rent or borrow a van, and sleep in it. Find someone on the board that likes you and will let you take a shower in their room the next day.

From what I understand, a lot of socializing goes on not only at the convention but in the hotel afterwards. You might miss out on some of that.
