I have heard of the Interact Mobile Power One, but read that it only lasts about 2 1/2 hours. On Ebay I came across "Hip Gear Players Battery Pack," which said it lasted 4 1/2 hours. I was just wondering if anyone can give me a mini review on either of them.

I have two of the interact ones on a good day they last 2 1/2. I'd be interested in the other one if it really lasted up to 4 hrs. it sure would beat taking two my two interacts on trips

So would it be worth it to get the Battery Pack if I had the car adapter?

If that hip gear really last 4+ hrs I would go with that. Unless you only plan on playing it in the car. I often play mine on plane trips so car adapters are not much help there. I picked up both my interacts used for $15 each. I wouldn't pay more than that for a 2hr battery but like I said if that other one lasts as long as it says it does and would pick one up.

Do they have 3 different lights on them and a circular button to the side of them? I found a battery at my local game store for $10 and was wondering if it was the interact one.

you can't really go wrong with $10 I don't think that's the interact one though since mine doesn't have any buttons.

OK, so I recently ordered a Hip Gear battery pack for the PSOne, and it arrived a couple days ago. I looked at the brief instruction manual for charging instructions (like it would be rocket science, right?), and it said that it takes 10 hours to charge (for 4 1/2 hours of playing time), but the first time you charged it, it would take 10-12 hours. So I plugged it in that afternoon. Checked it the next morning, thinking it would be charged and ready to go. Plugged it into my PSone--nothing, no power. Power switch on the battery unit switched on? Check.
Looked at the instructions and scrutinized them more carefully, and it mentioned that at first, when you charge it, a red light will come on. There are three lights (left to right--yellow, green, red) and only the first two had come on when charging. So I deduced (the instructions never specifically saying this) that perhaps the power switch should be in the "on" position while charging (so the red light will be on). Charged it all day yesterday. Tried it last night--still "dead". So I charged it overnight and checked it this morning. Still nothing. But the lights do light up when plugged in, as if it were charging.
Does this damned thing even work? Do I need to charge it for a super long time, longer than what is listed? Who's got one of these things and can tell me what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for any help.
