Everybody has them, so what are yours? Odd genres, weird games no one else finds themselves addicted to...

I personally have a weird thing for tennis games. XBox tennis, Saturn tennis, SNES tennis... all of them, I love them all!

Splinter Cell, Street fighter and Guilty Gear X aren't odd games at all. They're all part of well-established genres.

My fave odd games:

Katamari Damacy (obviously; it may be popular but it's still an oddball game)

Animal Crossing (even though it falls under the Sims category, it's still has its rather weird moments, including the gibberish spoken by the characters)

Cloud Master (flying bowls of ramen... can't get weirder than that!!!)

Based off the favorite Spectrum/C64 (? Some other ports as well?) game, yes? Haven't tried that one out yet, nice to know it's out in ROM format.

My friends and I used to have Little League Championship Baseball tournaments. I doubt many people loved this game like we did.

I still play through all the same levels on Sonic Adventure. I've beaten the game backwards and forwards (except for Big the Cat argdhbjbdkhj vhbanbxv) and I still play the thing every time I hook my DC back up.

Y'know, you can get the PC port of Ore No Ryori 2 from Underdogs, as well as Last Call (which is sort of a cooking game...).

Anticipation (nes) always comes to mind. My buddy litterly has all the dots memorised so he beats me every time.

Treasure mountain (pc). Couldn't stop playing this game when I was like young (hurray for 233mmx's!). Basically all you did was go around kicking elfs and getting scrolls and looking for treasure.

and of couse anything on the dreamcast :embarrassed: :fist:

Cloud Master (flying bowls of ramen... can't get weirder than that!!!)

YES.

Thanks to Chunky & katchoo I'm now heavily addicted to Technic Beat. Now I just need to FIND it.

Human Cannonball on Atari 2600 is a great game for stupid fun.

I have an odd obsession with Shanghai games. Trying to get every one released in the US, then I'm gonna tackle Japanese ones.

Roll Away is an unknown but awesome Playstation game.

And let me be the first to say Vib Ribbon.

Harvest Moon! Come on its a FARMING game!!!!
!

I also really enjoy the Harvest Moon series. It does have a cult-following, yet I would still classify it as 'odd.' My favorite game in the series is Harvest Moon 64 (or Back to Nature, but they are pretty much the same thing).

Any old sierra or lucas arts adventure game. When you really think about it, all your doing is clicking around and solving little puzzles but even though I've beaten them quite a few times and know the stories rather well, I just don't think I'll ever get tired of them, they're just wonderful.
