I will be going to Rome on 18 Jan and was wondering if there are good placed to shop for video games there?

Also are there any special items that are only available in Europe for current generation system.

hey, i went to italy last sept... and well... there wasn't much when i was searching for video games. However, there was a little toy store in rome (near the spanish steps). I bought a brand new copy of Uforia there for 14 euros. They had TONS of other stuff as well, but being a poor college student on vacation, i didn't have money to spend on video games.

PM me and i can hook you up with the store address (as i kept the bag which has the phone number and address on it).

When I went to Rome a few years ago (well 6 years ago), I really couldn't find anything hardly, videogame wise. However, I didn't have much time to look either.

Doesn't ialy have some law about video games because they are lumped in with stuff like slot machiens and the like, can't remember all the details though.

You're thinking of Greece. They realized the law was ridiculous and stupid, so it was quickly gotten rid of a few months later.

You can pick up Singstar in Italy if you want to sing Ace of Spades through your PS2. Make sure you can play PAL games on your TV first as my girl and I picked up several PS2 games in Italy that we haven't played yet because we don't have a PAL compatable TV. :(

Italy used to be a great source of bootleg cds up until they modernized their
copyright laws a few years ago. Go to used cd shops and buy all sorts of cool
concerts and demos of your favorite bands and then sell them on ebay.

I think you would do better buying some stuff that is usually high quality and inexpensive (I think in Italy it is supposed to be like leather items and glass?) then sell it when you get home and buy video games :)
