I've posted various topics with pictures on my website SMS Power, so I'm not going to copy all their content, but you can read on the following links:

SMS Choplifter Japanese Prototype (unreleased)
http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6475

SG-1000/SC-3000 Prototype/Sample Cartridges
http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6476

SMS Donald Duck Lucky Dime Caper prototype
http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6478

And, not a prototype but somewhat interesting:

SMS 4-in-1 pirate cartridge
http://www.smspower.org/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5900

I'll be posting more pictures and releasing something new within the day.

Needless to remind that I'm always looking for any Sega 8-bit sample/prototype/development stuff. I'm gathering them in a warm home. Not doing any market and dumping everything I can for sharing and release.

Take care and happy new year.

Those are very cool finds you have there. The most interesting one to me is the Choplifter proto, cause of its history. (Predating Fantasy Zone as a cart.)

Aside from Lucky Dime Caper, any of the protos differ from their released counterparts?

The SG-1000/SC-3000 cartridges looks like final or near-final builds. Hustle Chumy has a noticeably slighty different title screen, and Flicky doesn't run, so it may be the EPROM losing their data.
Dumping them will tell the difference. If they are near-final builds, the game may have been tuned in various ways and only a good player of the game can tell =)
