I've certainly never heard of this, but that cartridge looks like SMB 3. I highly doubt there are any U.S. NES cartridges that haven't been discovered yet, there are way too many sick collectors to let that happen :D

Wow! talk about weird stuff here!

A good thing to be add to the next DPG !

The SMB3 cart i'm sure is not link to this "exercise bike"

(i wouldn't imagine myself pedaling for moving Mario, argh!)

Another strange thing it's the long sticker on the top of the NES cart insertion slot. Probably a "warning" for "seen a doctor before any exercise".

Too bad that the "NES Challenge II software cartridge" cart is not in the picture.

anyway it's remind me the same thing but on the SNES :D

I used to have this thing on my page, though when I moved servers I ditched it due to lack of info.

There are some pictures from my friend's site.

Ok, so when I originally saw this auction I thought the cart he was referring to was the SMB3 in the picture. He actually doesn't refer to having it in the text of the auction. From that link that TRM provided though, it looks as if there is another U.S Released NES game. God help us all X_x

In one of the pics on that site though, the copyright of the game says 1987-1995. If this game was released in '95, that would make it the last produced American NES game wouldn't it?

All I can say is WOW!! :o Pretty freakin' cool. I wonder how many of these are around? Obviously not that many. Maybe you can count them on one hand? I don't know how many people would have been willing to have this done to their NES back in the day.

Got some info from one of our NES Guide Editors:

"This item is still for sale in the Washington State Area, It is called the "Racermate Challenge", often referred to as the "Ironman" cart. It is not licensed, sponsored, or endorsed by Nintendo. There is a PAL version available of it as well.
In order to play it, you MUST have a specially modifed NES with remote out from the controller port in order to use the bike. You CAN use the cartridge on a regular NES but you will not be able to play it, and there is no title screen. The unit with bike retails for a large sum of money, and the cart ALONE retails for $175 as a "replacement" cart."

Everything it's clear now. The reason of the strange sticker on the cartridge slot door probably about this also.

So, when you buy the kit, you have a "special" NES who si unable to play regular cart. very odd.
