A friend of mine wanted to know what game he was thinking of, and he offered this description.

What is the name of the Genesis game that was like a three-quarter isometric 2-player version of Gauntlet with multiple characters, spells, and the most amazing Anime-style cutscene at the beginning where 2 sorcerors are fighting for days...it's driving me nuts.

Since there seems to be a lot of these topics, perhaps there should be a universal topic for them. I dont care if anyone else wants to ask a similar question about identifying a game here. Maybe this topic could be used for all of them.

Some screenshots

I guess I should ask about a PC game that's been bothering me for years...

All I can remember, is that you basically got a job and took care of your house...

You'd save up enough to buy food, stereo and such and I know your food would go bad after awhile.

Please help :(

That looks like the description from what screenshots I've seen, but I'll have to ask him. Thanks. Anyone else feel free to ask about your own unidentified game. Me and I'm sure others would be happy to help.

Pretty obscure little game. Can't find any screenshots. :hmm:

Really? The sims was out around 1996?

Another thing I remember is that your character was represented by a simple real life photo.

hrm.
Considering the sims is pretty recent, and VACRMH is saying it's been bothering him for YEARS..
VACRHM; any screenshots or more info? you may want to ask about this on the underdogs, some irc chans such as #oldgames(which is for games 1998 and older) or surf abandonware/dos shareware sites.....

Sounded like Arcus Odyssey to me too. The original one that is.

When was the Sims out? 2000? I think that qualifies for "years". Anyway, I was obviously joking.

I looked around under the Unique theme on Underdogs, and couldn't come up with anything. Sounds like the kind of game I would have loved back then, too.

If you get a list on Underdogs, you can hover your cursor over each title and a little screenshot will pop up. It's great for figuring out old games.

not to start another post, what's the name of the arcade, gun game, where the machine acts as you move in front of it, it let's you choose if you wanna be a cop, lady cop, some kind of counter terrorist and a mall cop.

You stand on some kind of mat and there are a couple of cameras on the top that sense where you moved.

What's that game where you try to collect as many old video games as you can, for the cheapest price possible? Oh yeah, now I remember it, it's called Digital Press! Hey, now there's a great idea waiting to happen, DP The Game!

:D
