just had a bidder on 2 of my items become a NARU with 10 hours to go, seeing that they were the high bidder on an item the item has now gone back down to 1p, and becouse its under 24 hours, I cant revise or withdraw the sale, http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3864861024

now fortunatly, I dont realy care, this item was a peice of crap EDO ram..
but the point is this could so easily have been one of my prized collectables... that I wanted £100s for down to 1p with hours to go !!!

DAMNED OUT OF ORDER !!!

That could work to the benifit of the buyer also. I think that is a scam that is part of shill bidding. If I am working with another buyer, I could put in a low starting bid, my other bidder (or screen name) could out bid me by alot so that they would be the highest bidder. Then with 24 hours left the high bidder (second person) could cancel their bid, leaving my nice low bid to possibly win.

I think I have had this happen to me. I looked into what the winning bidder had won previous to my auction, and the other bidder who had canceled their bid had bid on alot of the same things. This is not a perfect system because others could come in an bid so that when the high bidder cancels the low bidder is not the top bidder anymore, but I have seen it work.
