Hi, I need help. (Bit dramatic there, but meh) I want to buy the Advance guide from the Digital Press website (good purchase idea, I'm sure you'll agree) but I can't make it pay the correct amount. I try to pay via Paypal, but I can't enter the correct amount I should pay for postage to the United Kingdom, as there is no option to enter additional shipping charges. I need to add $16.90 for shipping to the UK; how do I do this? Or is there somewhere else I can buy the guide, such as Amazon.co.uk perhaps?

Could someone please help me, as I want to buy the guide to help me with my Dreamcast collection, but until it will let me enter the proper amount for postage, I can't get it!!!! :(

Just enter $41.90 as the total ;)

But yeah it's a bit strange of Paypal to only offer separate shipping amount box for eBay purchases...

Thats the problem; I can't change the amount in the input box! Its unalterable, supposedly to help ease payment :hmm: x_x Any UK members on here manage to buy the guide through Paypal AND pay the correct amount?

How do I contact Digital Press to ask about this problem?

You could send a PM to the member DigitalPress here in the forums. He's very quick with responses.

Brilliant! Thanks a lot for your help! sorry am a bit of a n00b to this forum, only spotted the Guide a couple of days ago, but it looks like the perfect companion to somebody like me; I'm trying to collect many Saturn, Dreamcast and Game Gear rare games.

Ah yeah that problem... just send the payment by yourself through Paypal directly instead of using the link. You just need Joe's email address. Thing is, I'm not sure directly which one he's got that is used for Paypal. Does it tell you through the link click?

I've never had the problem although being in the UK myself, because as a DP section editor, I've always got every guide I have for free :)

hehehe you could just pay for the guide and see if they don't notice you didn't add any shipping charge  J/K

Just go to www.paypal.com
Login
Click send payment from the top of the page
Choose Goods (other) for reason
Enter all info, any amounts you want, any subject, any notes.
Send.

I have to tell people that daily when they're having trouble changing totals and shipping costs through ebay.

When people do that they end up asking me a month later why they never got their book.

double -

BTW: PM sent!

When people do this, dont you e-mail them and tell that they need to pay for shipping too?

Ok, thats good hehe :) I won an auction once and i forgot to pay the shipping. Didnt get anything so i mailed the seller. He told me that i hadnt payed the shipping. Think he could have told me that at once.
