Problem with Genesis

My Genesis 2 has a problem with AC Adaptors.

To even use it, Somebody has to stand and hold the plug while connected to the Genesis or it will shut off. I tried my other AC Adaptor, but I still have to do that. :angry:

Anybody know what to do?

the ac port's probably either worn out and isn't making a complete connection, or it's coming loose from the motherboard. if i'm not mistaken, there's a tiny metal tab inside the ac port of the genesis...get a small flat-head screwdriver and try to pry this up. that should make the connection tighter. if there isn't a prong, the port's probably loose and you can open the genesis up and resolder it to the motherboard. or you can buy a new one for like 8 bucks on ebay.

My Genesis 2 is now working with my other AC. The AC it came with still has problems. At least I had a backup AC!
