They are both good as in I think it's a cool idea and scared as in I got to get me some Visqueen because fanboy heads are gonna start 'sploding like watermellons at a Galliger concert.

I don't really like EA's Fight Night (formerly Knockout Kings) series so what you're suggesting is that I'd pay $40 for an emulated version of Super Punch-Out!!
I'd pay $20 for a compilation of 30 games including Super Punch-Out!! but any less than that, including paying $40 for an EA boxing sim, doesn't make very good financial sense. I like the gimmick but it's hardly enough to sell the game, at least to me.
So I'll take your bet. How much are we wagering?

I'm not going to buy it either, but that's mostly because I don't care about boxing games, whether they include Super Punch-Out or not.

well, I like "Fight Night".It's better than the other this-gen boxing games.
It is clear that you won't pay 40$ for a game you don't like.
maybe I should add "if you are a super punch-out nut"(like me) to the headline.....

I am a Super Punch-Out!! nut. The only arcade machine in my home is Super Punch-Out!! I think that qualifies :)

Hey! I didn't say WHEN you WILL buy it.
So,maybe you see the game in like 12 years for 12cents on some yard-sale......don't tell me that you won't buy it then.

Seeing that I already own Super Punchout for the Snes, and that I don't care about EA's Knockout Kings series, I'd say "no" is a safe answer.

ill bet you 12 cents that i would buy it for 12 cents.
then if i find the game at a yard sale for 12 cents, youll actually pay for it! until then though(which could be until i die) we will be in a state of flux. ill have to leave you 12 cents in my will, provided i dont die at a yard sale with this game in hand. unless i havent paid for it yet, because then i wouldnt matter anyway, as i wouldnt have bought it at any price.

What'd be funny is if the same people clamoring for a boycott of EA would rush to get this game just because of the unlockable Super Punch-Out! ROM...

I'll buy it on the Xbox so I can play online. Super Punch-Out in the place of online-functionality isn't a very good trade-off in my opinion. Nor are Nintendo characters in NBA Street 3 a substitute for online play. Small concessions if you ask me.

On the other hand, super punchout WITH online functionality... oh man.
They need to release a GC Punchout bad :(

I love Super Punch-Out!!. But I never saw the main character as Little Mac (his name isn't mentioned in the manual or the game if I'm right).

I'll buy it...eventually. Only for the purpose of completing a GCN collection

I far prefer Little Mac to the the Super Punch Out Guy. I remember seeing Little Mac in early SPO screenshots and was dissapointed that he was replaced in the final game.

Now why does Super Punch Out Guy's shorts say mac.

now why would i waste 50 dollars when i can pop super punch out in and play it right now in my game room and any other time i feel like it?

Especially when some of that $50 goes to the evil overlords. I won't get it, either, even though Punch-Out rocks.

Yeah, if I wanted a boxing game that features "Punch-Out-like characters" I'd bust out my copy of Black & Bruised. Or Ready 2 Rumble.
