Not sure if this has been posted, but here you go.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=62054&item=8160150576&rd=1

***I AM ADDING TO THE ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION OF THIS ITEM FOR TWO REASONS***
1)I have been accused by three individuals at this point to be lying about the COLOR of this system as well as to it's RARITY.

Allow me to clear this issue at this time.

I assure you that IS actually GOLD and that the color is NOT DUE TO FADING. And as to the RARITY, This is the only GOLD colored SNES that I have ever seen, and if people who's business it is to sell game systems are accusing me of lying than this proves, at least to me, that IT IS RARE.

2) After this barrage of accusation I have examined the SNES listed in this auction much more closely and have noticed an oversite.

THERE IS A SMALL CHIP ON THE BACK OF THE SYSTEM APPROXIMATELY 1/4 OF AN INCH IN SIZE.

If you have any doubts as to these FACTS then DO NOT BID ON THIS ITEM.

Thank you.

The sad thing is, Nintendo themselves have been known to "bling bling"-ify their consoles upon occasion. :P

If that's "gold", then that's the ugliest "gold" I've ever seen.

To give the guy the benefit of the doubt and imagine that it really isn't a yellowed SNES, then it would have to be a nasty paint job. Nintendo never made a SNES like that, plain and simple.

LOL What a dumbass! As if Nintendo would ever release a piece of shit like that! Does he have any clues or any explanations as to why only parts of it are "gold", while the rest of it is a "normal" SNES color? I gotta give him credit for one thing, sticking to his guns! At least he came up with a real good angle for getting rid of his nasty cornbread SNES, and at top dollar no less! I gotta give him credit for that too. But if he REALLY believes that is indeed the world's ONLY gold SNES, I think that everyone here who has a cornbread SNES should photograph it, then write to him and ask him what number his is! Tell him that yours are all numbered, and make him go nuts trying to find a number on his system! Tell him that sometimes they put the numbers on the inside of the case, when it was a really low number, like the first 25 out of only 100 systems ever produced! See if he'll open his up, and look how nasty it is on the inside from all the years of cigarette smoke too! Just make sure that you all check with each other before you tell him what number yours is, so nobody will tell him they have the same two numbers!

*looks at vintage minty fresh non-cornbread SNES next to vintage minty fresh non-cornbread GXTV and 11 other vintage minty fresh non-cornbread consoles* *smiles* *goes outside to smoke a cigarette as usual* *smiles*

I have an extra gold NES laying around (it's autographed by the original owner too!)

Surely that has to be worth something?!?

Well of course it's not gold. Someone smoked the SNES up. Why wouldnt the middle part be gold/yellow/piss color to then? I wonder. Figure that out. It doesnt make sense to me. Did they cover that middle part with a piece of paper to keep its originality.

The colour of it has nothing to do with smoke.. that is why the centre part is not discoloured. The discolouration is a result of a chemical breakdown in the ABS plastic that N used on some of the SNES units.

I've heard recently that there are DC's doing the same thing now...

Those SNES's are just plain fucking ugly. Now the Dreamcast is gonna go through the samething. That is so sad.

It just goes to show, there must have been a few different production runs for each part of the snes, also be careful when your taken the yellow snes apart, the plastic mounts inside become very weak, they snape very easy when ya try to unscrew them. :/
