Has anyone else run into Ebay Sellers running Java Popups on their auctions? I noticed this one today:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=187&item=1943945941

I only noticed when I right clicked on say, "See Sellers Other Auctions", a Java window pops up, says thank you, etc. Although, in not all of the auctions does this work. Does Ebay have anything against doing this or is this the newest annoying seller method? You know, besides brightly wallpapered backgrounds, music?

Oh, I also find this weird since I'm running Mozilla and it has such a friggin problem when I want to run Java I can't, but when it's essentially a pop up (and they are turned off no less!) it comes up no problem. >:(

I don't see any of that junk because I use The Proxomitron (http://www.proxomitron.org/). It's a thing of beauty.

I noticed that you get the pop-up when you right click anywhere on the screen. Never seen it before either though.

I also got that pop up and I use Mozilla. Actually it's not really a pop up as in separate browser window but rather a Javascript alert window. And I regocnized the javascript code used in that auction, it's a variant of disabling right click message that is supposed to prevent users from using right click to save image ot copy link. That particular code doesn't work well as you can hold the mouse button down, use enter key to clear that message and the sub menu will still pop up.
