I havent got a chance to play yet, but I picked mine up today and am excited to get started. My Gamestop still had 3 left, 2 sealed and the one they opened for the display on the shelf. I may have considered buying more if I had known the value. I dont think I'll make a run for another copy. I'll let someone else have and enjoy it. It's not exactly a quick drive and for all I know its sold out already. My cel is 24671 out of 4800.

Are all of these cels the same picture, or are there more pictures to get a complete set? I asked this once before with the Robin Hood Cels, but I dont think that game was popular enough for anyone to care. These however may be different. 48000 seems like a lot, but how many RE4s do you think will be made/sold? It's got great word-of-mouth, it's a big franchise sequel, and it's the best thing to hit the Gamecube in....uhhh, ever. So in proportion to the vanilla version, there aren't that many of them out there. It's the best collector's item at retail since Panzer Dragoon Saga, in my book (although you could argue for Lunar:TSSS)

Of course this doesn't factor online orders, so it's completely irrelevant.

I had a huge surprise today when I went to buy RE4 today...I saw the regular version so I asked for it, then being a regular at the Babbages the sales clerk said "man don't you know you already got the special edition on reserve and it's paid in full" and I was like what...when did I do that and he said "about 4 months" and I was like sweet.

So instead of just getting RE4 and Tork....I went ahead and picked up Mercenedes also for Xbox :D

The Gamestop where I live at (Woodbridge VA) still has three copies of this game for any collectors in this area. Also the Gamestop in Manassas and Springfield VA have one copy left as of 4:31 EST. I hope this help anybody out in the Nothern Virginia area.
