I have FFX in a red stripe "greatest hits" box
so when i purchase FFX-2 i would also like it to be the "red strip" one (I'm crazy like that...)
anyone know if or when FFX-2 will be a greatest hit?
any predictions?

They are. Though I hate the PS green GH labels on them even worse, they are totally disgusting.

I hope for FFX3 they just get rid of the gameplay altogether and just make it so you watch a 312 hour convoluted FMV story.

The gameplay is decent, the story is mehhh, and the intro FMV is possibly the worst intro FMV EVER, unless you like girl band pop.

To me it's not that they're ugly, it's just that a) they're not the original run (something collectors of ANY ilk look for) and b) they don't "go" with the other games. The latter is the reason why Sebastian is looking for the GH title.
Actually if you see ALL GH titles together they look pretty slick. I've got a tiny phenomena of this kind going in my home, it's called my trade box :)

FF X-2 is the only FF game I don't own. I literally own them all for all systems and don't plan on getting this one unless it falls into my lap.
And yes the red / green lines are nasty ......
I had FFX-2 for a week or two played it, I got pretty far. But then I just stoped caring. The game just was too boring and was like playing FFX again but with less charicters.

there have been worse games, i did enjoy it though, but wouldny it make more sense to buy FFX in non GH then just pick up X-2 regular? im sorry but id die before i baught a GH title, and yes it is already a GH

I acutally like FF-x2 better then FFX. FFX had more videos then X2, and I hate videos, I buy a game to PLAY a game.

I'm down with the greatest hits. Quite frankly, after having a shelf of genesis boxes that don't really match, a goofy little stripe isn't going to drive me insane.

i separate my games when storing them. i put greatest hits, imports, etc after the standard issue games. this works great also for 2600 carts, as every company had their own cart design.
this also makes genesis collections look better. if you separate into three categories, the original "checkerboard", the "red stripe" and the rest, a genny collection looks fairly nice

I'll NEVER understand why people play RPGS for the gameplay and not the story, that's just flat out stupid. You should be playing strategy RPGS or action RPGS if you want gameplay only.
That being said, I thought FFX-2 was MUCH better than FFX. FFX is my least favorite FF game of all time. FFX-2 being 2 or 3 from the bottom, not much better, but a BIT better.
The only 2 good things about FFX was Auron, and Lulu. All the other chars sucked, and the story was boring and way too drawn out. The sphere grid was a joke, hell I can't really say much I liked about that game.

I do play RPG's for the story, i guess my point was that in the first hour of ffx there was maybe 10 mins of acutal game play.

I just dont' see that as a problem, that's all. I didn't think Xenosaga had too much FMV in it either though, heh.
Even games like metal gear solid 3 I've heard has 5-10 minutes play time in the first hour or 2. I HIGHLY prefer it honestly.
Although ALL games should allow you to pause the fmv, and then choose to either skip it, or reply it.

Exactly, I really wouldnt care if I could choose to watch or not to watch the video, which I dont have a choice to od in those games.
