Well I absolutely wanted El Viento for the Genesis (Jp. version would have done but cannot find it).

So i did bid on this auction... and went a little overboard. Someone, please tell me it's not that expensive for the package... :/

I don't think $25 is anywhere near bad for 5 Genesis games. Are you selling the other 4? You could probably make your money back if you do (check the Orphans thread for manuals).

It's not a tragedy or anything like that, but if the money is important and were really going to go "all out" on El Viento, why wouldn't you wait for one that had a manual?

You can probably get $2-$3 each for the other four games so you really didn't do that badly.

No not really a tragedy... I just got caught up with the bidding and went over what I allowed myself and then regreted it a little (also because of the manual).

Oh well, it's not like I bought a Kizuna Euro for AES so it's ok, I'll locate the manual now.

I haven't seen El Viento in the wild. Plus, I was expecting to see you'd paid something like $50-$90 for a copy of the Japanese version, so in that respect I'm impressed by your restraint LOL

The ONLY reason I would buy a copy of El Viento would be for the neat Japanese box art. That's just a matter of personal taste, of course; there's nothing wrong with what you've done and I have done much, much worse myself (I have paid far over twice what an already very expensive game was worth; no figures but think that one over!)

What's more, the other games aren't too terrible (I don't think much of the Genny version of The Lion King, but you can always do much worse!) - Aladdin in particular is very enjoyable.

If nothing else, you can always laugh at one of the WORST box covers EVER in that El Viento. I think Kid Fenris even has it somewhere on his site...him or some other person/group.

Yeah, that's a big danger. Sometimes you just have to step back and relax, you know? Can save you a good chunk of dough in the end.

I agree with you regarding the cover art. I was interested in getting all the Wolfteam titles and, for those who came out in the states, compared the boxes... my, my... these are some ugly arts compared to the Jp verion : Sol Feace< Earnest Evans, El Viento... I wonder how they could come up with such terrible cover art in the US.

that's another good reason to use something like ezsniper... just place your bid and forget about it
