How Safe is it?
How do you use it?

Admittedly I'm guessing here, but doesn't the buyer just visit his/her local WU office and then WU sends you the payment?

I've used it many times, Western Union was around long before there was a PayPal or even an eBay for that matter. Probably even before the internet.

There are two ways to go. Look up Western Union in your telephone book and do an in-person wire service style money transfer, or use their online site (which at one time was bidpay.com, I don't know if that's still the case) to pay for the auction.

I'll vouch for top-notch service via Western Union, even if it is not quite as convenient as PayPal.
