I just got Lufia for SNES at a Pawn Shop. Anyway, apparently the previous owner did not take good care of it as there are a bunch of marks and residue on the back on the cart. What is the best thing to use to clean up the game?

I've used goo gone and cotton swabs/squares/balls quite successfully to get stuff off of actual carts. I have never messed around with labels though, as those tend to always get ruined when I try to clean them. After a couple applications of goo gone, I have taken off the worst permanent marker marks, and it always leaves the cart with a citrus scent (it goes away fast).

None of the goo crap is on the labels. I was just wondering b/c I didnt want to somehow take the color out of the cartridge.

How do you only have a cherry if you have over 400 posts? O_O

Punishment.

Hey Big Daddy, don't worry about bleaching the plastic that the cat is made out of. It won't happen. Just don't use anything that will dissolve the plastic, like nail polish remover (acetone). I use common household surface wipes and sometimes rubbing alcohol. That usually works. You can use a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser, but that will mar the surface of the plastic and give it a duller look.

I'm sure I'm not the only person that opened this thinking that perhaps it was a topic about video games in which there is some aspect of cleaning involved - ie. Animal Crossing or whatever.

Mario Sunshine perhaps... Well we could turn it into a thread about that.

I just squirt a little Goo Gone on a small piece of paper towel and rub the area that is dirty. You can clean labels like this too, but make sure you don't put too much Goo Gone on the paper towel because it can stain the edges of the label if you use too much.
