Keep lookin' on eBay; that's pretty much the only place you'll find one unless a local thrift gets one in.

By the way, I'd say "like-new" is good enough (I found one at Goodwill, $40 in complete/like new condition, came with a game cart even). Find one with a SEXcellent box and make sure to ask the seller about inserts + scratches.

POSTed! :O scandalous.

Well, just try "New NES" as your search terms. Being too specific narrows down your range. You can also try checking the "search titles and descriptions" box (well, whatever it says) but that usually brings up a ton of unrelated auctions from sellers who've got tons of keywords squirreled away in their auctions so XBox controllers will snag your query.

Good luck hunting.

If you find one I wouldn't open it. A sealed NES would probally sell for a buttload of money.

Ok, i'll add my bit in here then...

It doesn't sound weird, and I know exactly what you feel dude! I too want to get my drrrty hands on a factory sealed NES (PAL or NTSC - It doesn't matter)

I also want a factory sealed untouched Genesis III, Snes (Uk or American again) and many other things. Price is no object to me if someone has something of interest...

My only regret is that I didn't win a factory sealed Snes a few years ago which went for over £200! I also watched myself lose bidding on a factory sealed NES too which ended at about £175...

They are out there, so just keep looking! But I warn you, you will have some competition if one ever did pop up... :(

Damn I knew I should've just left sealed the SNES I bought at Target for $10 on clearance back in 1999. (the smaller square version)

Anyway, for the original poster...

Do this for your new NES...

-On the main page click video games
-On the next page click "Nintendo NES" under the systems section.
-You'll now see all the NES systems for sale. On the left side is a bunch of filters, and you can click "new" or "used" to narrow it down.

That's a start :) Although when listing, the "new/used" check box can be kinda hard to miss, so don't limit your search to just that, of course

I hope you're willing to spend like $400 just to play Nightmare on Elm Street.

One of my favorite searches is "sealed". "new" just gets back a bunch of bull most of the time. Just add it as a favorite search in NES systems category and check to have it email you when new search results appear. The email feature is kind of flaky sometimes (Like I get an email and the auction is about to end and it was a 3 day) but most of the time it seems to work good. I love ebay favorite searches.

You can get sealed SNESs still, mainly the small ones. I don't like them because they don't have the eject lever and you have to yank the game out.

Search Links:
Sealed Games All Systems:
http://search.ebay.com/ws/search/SaleSearch?catref=C12&coaction=compare&coentrypage=search&copagenum=1&from=R9&sacategory=62053&satitle=sealed&sosortorder=2&sosortproperty=2&sotrtype=1&sotrvalue=1&from=R9

Sealed Systems All Systems:
http://search.ebay.com/ws/search/SaleSearch?catref=C12&coaction=compare&coentrypage=search&copagenum=1&from=R9&sacategory=62054&satitle=sealed&sosortorder=2&sosortproperty=2&sotrtype=1&sotrvalue=1&from=R9

Need to drill down to specific system for these searches. You have to watch out for reseals though.

I've got a couple of NES systems. Earlier this month I sold my top loader and an Action Set. I still have a Console Set, Challenge Set, and another Action Set. I may be willing to part with either the Console Set or Action Set but the Challenge Set will be mine for a long time.

Yes it would, I am just waiting to sell my brand new action set nes that I have. I will probably never sell it though unless I need the money.

Same here. I waited in line back in '98 the day after Thanksgiving for like 2 hours in the electronic section of Target just to get one of the new snes smaller versions, they had them on sale for like $39.99 if I remember right. I did get rid of it like 2 months later. I was a broke sophmore at the time.

There were a bunch of sealed NES Sports sets on ebay around 2 months ago. Some guy found 20 of them in his grandfathers basement (his grandfather used to own a gaming store in the 80's I guess). He had them in a dutch auction, I think the end bid was $105 each, which I think is a pretty damn good deal!

I recall seeing a pallet (sp?) of 40 systems sell about 18 months ago as well in a dutch auction. I think the top bidder bid about $300, but the bottom was around $80.
