Alright I don't know if there is a post about this already because the search egine is down, but i'm gonna post it anyways. Have any of you heard about or played this game. It looks godly. There are like over 100 ways to torture people. I would like to hear more opinions about this game though so please help me out here.

PLayed the demo on this months OXM disc. Its pretty damn cool! Not saying its good or anything, just all the ways you can kill is insane but contol is off the behind the back perspective doesn't work well for me I wish it had a floating camera. A much un-needed game as I'm sure it will be the next parental / non entertainment press' scapegoat. I guess I'm on the fence... I might get it, probably not.

Yeah I got the PS2 demo from Gamestop and it looks like the bees knees. I was pretty shocked with what I saw the first few times I hit that "Quick Kill" button :eek 2: . It makes the violence levels in GTA look more tame. Looking forward to this one.

...as a slight aside, it's worth mentioning that this game probably wouldn't seem as potentially cool as it does without Garth Ennis' demented influence over the story line. If it would have been, say, a movie tie-in it would probably just suck.

I recently had a chance to play the demo a little bit afer I posted this. I actually really like it. The whole interogation thing is cool as hell. I also really enjoyed holding a guys head underwater with piranas in the tank. That was very enjoyable.

I liked the demo, it felt kind of like Max Payne. I just wish the game had bullet-time diving like Max Payne, it would fit well in this type of game. I'll definitely get it at some point.

Normally I would say that this is debatable, but without the over the top violence that the comic book has, the Punisher becomes a knitting sim.

The game has been edited to recieve an M rating. All of the interrogation kills will occur in black and white as opposed to color. Lame.

Im looking forward to getting this game. not sure if im going to pick up the Xbox or PS2 version they look about the same.
and on a side note I have the old Punisher arcade game on my MAME and it is a pretty kool side-scroller beat um up. think I played it a couple times at the arcade also back in the day.

The Punisher is going to be so freaking awesome, I played the PS2 demo that I got from my work (Gamestop) and I LOVE it. I have the game pre-ordered, I so can't wait to play the final version. The developers of this game captured the feel of the comic book perfectly and truly captured the feel of what Frank Castle is all about. :D :D :D

I'm a big fan of Ennis, but I stopped buying the new Punisher book because it was too focused on the killing for me...and I'm extremely desinsitized. I actually got BORED with it. The new one is UBER-violent and the game written by the guy who did the comic...it's of course the same.

And IF the interrogations are in B&W now...that's lame. Makes me want a beta where they're not....

Either way, with Ennis writing it, it will be an AMAZING storyline...I believe this is his first game but I'm a huge fan of his comics...War Story, Preacher, etc :)
