Anyway, 32x related, I was wondering how I should hook mine up. I dont need any details, but I want your opinion. I have both relevant types of Genesis, both Sega CDs, and a 32x, and I want to have a set-up with all three. I am wondering which combo I should use. I could use a Genesis 2 w/ a CD 2, but I do not have that stupid plastic spacer for the 32x-Genesis 2 combo. Alternatively, I could use a Genesis 1 w/ a CD 1, but I do not have av cables for a Genesis 1. I know you can get stereo sound out of the headphone jack, but is there any way to get stereo ans composite video out of the back? Or even just composite video? Either way, I dont own any cables to do this. The other advantage to this is that I could use the Power Base Converter to play SMS games. I could use the Genesis 1 w/ the CD 2, but I dont see the advantage to this.

With a Genny one, and a 32X, the AV comes out of the 32X. So if you have a 32X (Genny 2) AV cable, you will get your stereo sound and composite video from the 32X.

Thanks, I just realized that. Right now I have the Gen2/CD2 combo, because the other was too darn tall for the space I had.

ok, i just tryied it barebones and it gives me a hell lot of interference, know of any good way to get rid of it besides using a ton of 'rf shielding'?

The games don't lock up or anything (At least now) but i get the colors all swirly and kinda very bad looking.

Any suggestions?

ok, sorry to doublepost, but i've worked out the interference bit of the problem, now, the bad thing is that i only see the genny video (i'm getting the output from the 32x out)

Now the project works, with one AC adaptor, mind you. Now i only have to think of a carcass wich will look cool, but will let me put the RF shields accordingly. Lemme get my digital camera back and i'll show some screens.

Also, do all 32x make a small whirring sound?
