What the hell is a car-boot?
Wanna know something we say here in the states that a canadian didnt understand? "Can of soup" He didnt know what a fucking can of soup was. :hmm: I asked him if english was a second language to him and he got mad...if you dont know what a can of soup is, I expect english to be rather difficult for you.
Anyway. How much did your dad pay for this at that *car-boot*?

Car-boot sale = UK equivalent of yard sales/flea markets - usually in a field, sellers pay a minimal fee (around £5-£10) to take a pitch, unload their cars and try to sell whatever crap they want to get rid of - records, books, cds, toys, games, furniture, ornaments, all sorts of rubbish (also a breeding ground for pirate DVDs, games and other dodgy stuff like that).
Plenty of bargains to be had, although these days you've generally got to get there really early otherwise the eBay-vultures will pick them clean.
They're much easier to find in summer, you don't get too many of them at this time of year.

No I think that bidder will be for real as that record at top dollar is worth twice that amount (62 pounds sterling)

Obviously this is important...
But since I'm dumb, Can someone fill me in on why this seems so important?
I'm not "in the know" about Pink Floyd's albums.

This is an ORIGINAL MONO UK Pressing of Floyd's DEBUT LP.
let's break that down.
Mono records from the mid/late 60s are hard enough to get. UK? Even tougher. ORIGINAL PRESSING? Of a band's FIRST ALBUM? Add in that it's Floyd, and the only FULL album that syd barrett was "with it" for.....
Through the roof. I wanted to bid. But Knew i could not afford it.
