You passed on a wonderboy 3?! Dear lord man, that game is amazing. Is it complete? If it's at least boxed I would get back over there and go grab it, 2 bucks for that game is a steal, and the others aren't bad at 2 each either.

Yesterday was pretty decent....
Romance Of The Three Kingdoms - NES - 5.85
Willow NES Box & Loose Phantasy Star 2 Genesis - 1.00 & Some odd change
Bug Too - Saturn - Disk in a Sonic 3D Blast Case - 2.99
Records - about 6 records - 1.00 each for 3 of them, .50 for the other 3
Now for a little story!
One of the thrifts that I frequent usually has games in, thing is, as of a month ago they started putting all there games up front behind the glass and the prices have also went up by a buck or so.
Not this time, almost ALL PRICE have been nearly DOUBLED!
Nes Games - 5.99
SNES - 5.99
Genesis - 5.99
Atari 2600 - 2.99
SNES System - 30.99
Pikachu N64 labeled "Rare Limited Edition Pikachu N64" - 50.99
:eek 2:
The games were all commons, nothing worth nearly the asking price. They also had a few records back in the record section they marked at 2.00 because they were "collectors items"....basically labeled at random.
I wanted one of the 2.00 records, but I refuse to pay over 1.00 for a record (other than a Manilow I need). So let's just say, when I went to pay for the album, it didn't have a price sticker on it anymore.

At work today, I happened to be in the repair office and noticed a stack of cartridge games that just got repaired. I saw a black NES cartridge, but I figured it was just an AVE game, but took a look since it would go nicely with my AVE collection. It was upside down. I flipped it over, and I nearly crapped:

I work in the main office for The GameTrader (link in sig)... if I didn't have a conscience, I could have easily put the game back and snagged it before I left, but, uh, I got too excited and ran through the office showing everyone. Right now, I don't actually have it in my possession... our pricing guy (yeah, one guy has priced every game known to man - literally) is researching a good price for me. The paper DP guide says $75 loose...online says $325... I hope he just looks in the guide and not online. Basically, he said he'll determine a value and then cut me a deal from there. I'm going to pick it up anyway though. I'll report back with my value.
Anyone know about how much you'd pay for a loose Hot Slots from someone who knows what it's worth?

I was going to the thrift store and Goodwill store that they have here and let me say that everyone else is just awesome at finding stuff there. Where I live they just have complete junk (like several copies of Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt unboxed for .99)
Anyways....
I went to the EB Games I don't frequent much (further drive) and looked through their bargain bin. I saw several items (one of which listed as an R5...would have bought it if I had more money on hand) I need to get Friday (assuming that no one wants them as bad as I do!) The items I picked up today were:
Winter Olympics (The XVII Olympic Winter Games: Lillehammer '94) for $1.99 (cart only) This is special, however, because it is the Sega Mega Drive version!!!! (It is only an R2 tho...)
Wings Of War (ditto on cart only) for the Genesis. Only $3.99 and barely had heard of it. Guess it's not rare rare....but interesting due to the plain kind of label it has (only graphic is the Sega Genesis logo and the title of the game. (Woohoo...an R3!!!)
I'll have to figure out how to post the pics on this forum!

If I recall correctly, I think the US version has the words "Mega Drive" on the front of the box. I'm almost 100% sure that you have the US version. Same thing happened with Kid Chameleon, well, I've seen both on that one.
Then again, maybe it's just early and I'm delirious. Can anyone else confirm this?
