After years of living in NYC, we FINALLY got some shelves for our room. Actually, they were here all along. The bookcase was out in the hall filled with a bunch of crap. We were fed up with all our stuff being in boxes and stuff, so we cleaned the thing out and brought in our room. It's changed a little since then to accomodate new things, but here's what it looked like when I was done filling it:

Yes, I need to clean the glass. :P The insane glare is from the mirror on the back of it. The top shelf has US PlayStation games with Star Ocean 3's Souffle guarding them. The next shelf has my one long box game (at the time) and our PlayStation Japanese imports. The cast of King of Fighters '97 is guarding those games. :) The third shelf is loaded with books all related to video games. There are a few US guide books there, but most of them are Japanese art books and comics.

The second large open shelf has a bunch of loose NES carts (yes, I have a few GameStop stickers to remove still :P ) and some random boxes. The long skinny box is my Japanese Baten Kaitos. The thin shelf below it is the "shelf of valuable crap". I have some N64 Japanese imports there, my Dracula X: Rondo of Blood, a whole bunch of official game soundtracks with most being worth $20-$30 and others worth more like my Star Ocean Perfect Sound Collection worth at least $100. At the end, there are a few Dreamcast games and loose disc games in the soft cases (most of the loose games just have their packaging elsewhere). Finally, the bottom shelf has more comics related to games and all but two of our MVS carts.

Here's our set up at a rather messy moment. We timed the photo just right so Paulie Shore would be on the TV, hehe. :P The Fatal Fury hat is chillin' on the Genesis 1 + Sega CD 2. Below that is my top-loading NES sitting on top of the white Yaffa that holds loose Genesis carts and complete Super Famicom games. Below the TV on the right side are two rows deep of GameCube and PS2 games, three vertical rows deep of SNES carts, and a bunch of SNES, N64, and Game Boy carts in the bottom part. The middle has more US PlayStation games, an opened PS1 controller that I STILL haven't cleaned, and my US PlayStation and Japanese PS2. There's a DVD player on the floor because we haven't incorporated it into the set up yet.

Here's a better look at the stuff on the far left in the previous pic. Our SNES, the consolized MVS with Kyo and Iori duking it out, and the Dreamcast and GameCube. The bottom part (not seen in this photo) has a N64, Genesis 2, and a couple complete Genesis games.

Finally, here's a better look at what Luigi and Wario are doing on top of the TV. ;)
This is just a portion of my collection since it's split up between this house and my mom's house in Washington. I just felt like sharing my new shelves and such, though. :)
