There always seems to be something taken out when a game comes to the US from Japan, but what about the other way around?

The Archon-like PS1 game The Unholy War was given an anime license by Bandai when it became Little Witching Mischiefs. Pandemonium was also altered when it became Magical Hoppers.

You sure about that? I seem to recall a sales list for Japan awhile back with Rising Sun on it. Not only do I recall it being released, but I also think it sold surprisingly well. GameFAQs shows both the GC and PS2 versions being released about a year after the US release.

And in reply to ASSEMblerEX, not only do a lot of WW2 games come out in Japan, but many have been made by Japanese companies. If anything, America is a lot more sensitive about this kind of stuff than the Japanese. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm guessing you could pretty much NEVER get a war game released in the US where the Americans are portrayed as the enemies. However, many Japanese have no problems playing a game where they're fighting Japanese soldiers.

Ratchet and Clank got the same treatment. Ratchet was given much more intense, dark eyebrows, and his textures have been smoothed a bit, most noticeable in the lack of tooth-gapping.

It's a good thing, if you ask me. Those developers have always designed the most wretchedly hideous characters. I'm starting to warm up to the Crash series a little recently, but I hated it for years just because Crash is so damn ugly looking and unlikable.
