Today was the big auction today in Toronto for a big arcade dealer (he has one once a month) and was the first time I went to one of these things.

They had over 150 different machines, ranging from ms pacman, all the way up to crazy taxi, pool tables, table tops, etc..

I walked away (actually drove in a cube van) with an arcade machine that I won for only 175$!!! (that's 110$US for those of you living south of the canadian border).

Nice machine.. needs a bit of work.. it looks like it used to be me WWF wrestling game that was converted and now is XMEN Children of the Atom. (25" monitor!)

I'm gonna sand it down, fill the holes, paint it.. rewire a MAME machine in there, and all the other goodies..

EXCELLENT winter project while there are no garage sales to go through looking for games to add to my NES collection!

so if any of you done this before, and have any tips,.. let me know!

Cheers.

If you need any artwork, go here (http://www.thelogbook.com/artwork/) and grab it - that's why it's there. :)

Man, I wish I could do a project like that. Let us see a photo or six when you're done.

Great Idea!

Here's some web information (you've probably allready found this)

I'm planning on building my own mame cabinet as well.

I'm going to try to use car paint for the cabinet. That'll add a nice metallic shine to it when its all done. I'm not sure how well it'll work on particle board so I'll probably just paint a bit on a 2x4 and see what happens. I've seen it done on wood before with very cool results.

I'm not sure which color, probably black or silver since they would be the cheapest and look the best with a decal.

Have Fun!
