Earthbound $19.99 - Worth it?

Is it worth it? I saw it at my Game Crazy, cart only, and wasn't sure, what do you guys think?

If you don't have it yet, then it is definitely worth it. Not only is it a great game, but the DP guide lists it for $25. Technically, you are saving yourself 5 bucks!

Sure, why not? If you want to play it and can't seem to find it anywhere else cheaper, you'd might as well pick it up, you could do alot worse.

I think so. Sure if your patient you may be able to find it cheaper if you're lucky but the game generally goes for twice that on eBay.

Yeah, I'd say that's pretty good. And like others have said, if you end up not liking it, sell it on eBay. Even if it's loose, it'll still probably make at least $30.

I have sold at least 10 cart only on Amazon for 54.99 ea. I had to raise the price b/c I was selling them too fast. This year I had one and listed it for 57.99 a week or two before christmas and sold it within a few hours. So get it! It's definitely worth it.

I would easily pay $20 for it loose if only to play the sucker! I've never played it on a console. My brother would practically die. He loves it. But having the actual game would rock. Go pick it up before you regret it!!

EB is probably the only RPG I went through multiple times. I used to be able to beat that game in just a few hours (well, over a couple days) because I played it so damn much....before I was able to find the soundtrack an friend of mine and I decided to connect our SNES to our stereo and make our own. We did this twice because the tape screwed up after we finished. I think there was more than 70...maybe even close to 90 songs. The real soundtrack doesn't come close to having all of them. :-) I wonder what happened to that tape...

EB is one of the few SNES RPGs I still haven't played, but $20 is a good deal, especially since GC tends to way overcharge for SNES RPGs. I once saw a copy of BoF II and Lufia II for $45 each.

And the last few loose copies on ebay have gone for like 50 +

I used to buy the heck out of them on ebay whenever I could get them for less than $30 b/c I knew I could sell them on amazon around christmas for $50 after shipping etc, net. I swear that I have bought and resold at least 10 or 15 of them. Don't want to get burned though, now that they are talking of remaking it for the GBA those snes EB values will go down just like BOF II, Zelda, Mana, etc.

You'll be damn lucky if its still there. I've seen a few Earthbounds in shops around here one day and gone the next, heck I've seen them disappear in the course of hours (at $30 a pop). I got mine for $10 when the guy working the counter had no idea what he was selling and the games were not marked.

Everytime I come here and see this thread I die a little inside.

I want another Earthbound game SO BAD. If there were one game I could ever ask nintendo to make, that would be it. More so than the new Zelda, more so than an original kickass franchise, more so than another Metroid.

I'd even take a GBA port of Mother 1+2 over anything I've mentioned. I absolutely love that game to death, and it's probably the only game i would actively try to own more than one copy of.

If Nintendo doesn't release EB 1, 2 and 3 over here on GBA, I will either kill myself or learn Japanese. I wanna play them so badly on something not emulated.
