I just picked this up at a game shop in town for $34.99. It includes everything, including the omake box with the pendant and such. I went to ebay to look at prices and see it anywhere from 30-70 bucks. How much does this usually go for? I was also wondering how to get this damn price sticker off without damaging the box.

Also, anyone know where I could find a guide for it?

If I remember right Lunar 2 originally went for $50.00 in the stores. (I bought mine from a local game store complete a couple years ago for $30.00) You got a pretty good deal in my opinion.

I usually see it for around $30-40 complete in the wild. Everything as we all know tends to be overprices on ebay. I got mine complete (though the box was a little beat up) for $29.99 from a Gamestop a few years back, so I'd say you got a good deal.
The DP guide has it listed at $25 complete, but you almost never find games in the wild (especially RPGs) for DP prices.

Good luck getting a guide! I talked to Zach about this eariler (the author of said book for WD) and he suspects as little as 5,000 copies of the book were released due to delays. They all sold out in a few days. I have mine and I ain't parting with it for nothihg. :D You can check EBay for them. They do show up now and then for around $30-50.

One way that I have used to get stickers off of boxes is to use a hair dryer on it until the glue underneath has melted and is gummy. You can peel it off without damaging the box at this point and you can clean off any sticker residue with a little bit of goo gone on a Q-Tip.

Sauza12 is exactly right. I use goo gone on all my used stuff. It works freakin' wonders. There's a used place in Portland called CD Game Exchane and they put stickers on EVERYTHING! Goo gone is absolutely the best for those of us that want their collection "perfect".

Use one tip I got from this board from 'Daria:' Remove carefully the sticker with your fingers; and then apply some kind COOKING OIL, and rub tthe sticker residue off!! All the sticker residue, smears, disappear and there will be nothing left. It won't hurt the color at all, the carton won't absorb the oil, and it leaves no scratches.
It is really fanatstic for this kind of carton, glossy manuals like the SNES manuals, and plastic jewel cases like DC and PSX cases, and the cases we have today for the consoles. I got glue and sticker residue off w/o any scratches which didn't work with anything else.
I got Lunar 1 and 2 and Arc about one year ago from ebay, in absolutely mint condition like new for $45 each (including shipping.)
A year ago the guides for Arc , Vanguard Bandits, and Alundra were still available from WD, the Lunar 1 guide I got from ebay; the Lunar 2 guide is still missing in my collection becasue everytime I looked on ebay it went up to $60 - $70. One day I'll get it, I swear, same goes for Suikoden II. :)

At the Cd/Game Exchange here in Akron, OH, they have another trick for getting the terrible stickers off: they do a quick little light with a lighter right on the sticker, and it comes right off. About 1 second of flame seems to do the trick.

No one said try it ...
Anyways, i'm off to make a home made flametrower. You use a water gun and a lighter, with some imagination it looks uber kewl.

It took about nine months of on-and-off work to write and lay out the L2 guide, but it was worth it. It's one of the very few guides I've done that I can look back on without cringing.

Hats off to you for that guide ZM. It's one of the best guides I own. Thank god WD guides weren't made by bradgames or prima.

Hell yes. The Silver Star is a fantastic game, and Eternal Blue references it heavily. Buy it now.

I've always found that using the stickers themselves helps get a lot off also. At least the Gamestop used/new stickers. I bought like 10 used GC games once and I got all the stickers residue of by kind of patting the residue with the sticker itself. It took a while, but it worked with what I had.

I was working on both L2's text localization and strategy guide at the same time, and the game was naturally the higher priority, AND the guide was insanely overambitious, so it fell further and further behind.
When the guide didn't ship with the game, retailers cut their orders in half, and they kept chopping their orders in half again every couple of weeks. By the time the book was finally finished, retail interest was minimal. The first and only printing almost immediately sold out.

That guide is probably the rarest thing I own, and I got super lucky and found it for $30 shipped off of half.com. I see it going for upwards of $80 on ebay regularly.
And I know you don't work for them anymore, but do you know if there's any plans for a Growlanser guide? Made by anyone, I haven't seen or heard anything yet.

I tend to do that too. If the sticker is gunky or not sticky anymore, you can also just use same tape.
