Yeah yeah we all know that Nintendo will never release Mother 1+2 or mother 3 in the US since they suck so bad, but a mod on the offical Nintendo forums wants people to post if they want it and crap. So if you want the GBA Earthbounds to cross the sea posting here could theoretically help the chances of that happening!

I definitely gotta sign up, then. Earthbound is easily the 2nd greatest game ever. Nintendo needs to bring us a sequel. I've been waiting for ten years now!!

I don't think that Nintendo is that opposed to the idea of releasing the games here. There was an article somewhere that one of the creators stated that he was amazed by the attention the game gets in the US now. I can't find the article now though -- I originally found it from a link in another message board...

If Earthbound 3 comes out, I will buy a GameBoy Advance or NDS. Until that point, I'm just not interested...

Earthbound on the SNES kinda ruined the Mother series in the US, at least in Nintendos eyes. Thats why they are so hesitant to release Mother 1+2 in the US yet they jump on translating games like Fire Emblem.

Well, Nintendo had expected Earthbound to sell like crazy when it got here. It didn't, at least partially because of their advertising campaign that didn't tell you much about the game. ("This game stinks!")

I think that any Nintendo exec that looks at eBay now realizes that the market is more open to the idea. Hell, I bought the N64 _ONLY_ because it was supposed to have Earthbound 64 released for it. I don't trust that Nintendo will release Mother 3 in the states, but I will line up for a GBA or DS if that happens.

Earthbound is the 2nd greatest game ever created. 2nd only to the sheer perfection that is Chrono Trigger. Anyway, I've been waiting for a sequel for 10 years now. I've waited far too long, hanging on every last hope of any sequel. It's obvious that Eb has a huge following in america, so It would be crazy not to release a sequel here. Please, nintendo. Listen to your fans. It's games like earthbound that truly remind me what nintendo and video games in general are truly about.

Sounds good to me. Let's just hope nintendo is listening.

They jumped on translating fire emblem? ONE fire emblem game has come over out of how many?

Well, they brought Metroid back, and look what it did for them. Hopefully they will bring Earthbound back, and eventually Punch-Out!!! too. They deserve more attention.
